Record Video with a Canon Rebel XSi (450D)

This video shows you how to enable movie record on the Canon Rebel XSi or any camera with live view. The following is a written tutorial on how to do it.

Step One: Download the program EOS Camera Movie Record here. If you're on a mac, download 0.1.9 Beta 2 because it is that last update that supports macs. If you're on a PC, download the latest version available.

Step Two: Plug your camera into your computer and turn it on. Make sure the setting is not on auto.

Step Three: Open up the program. To record, click the "write" button. Once you're done, click "Stop." To learn about all the features, watch the video above.

Apple's New iPod touch

Apple's new iPod line has just rolled out today. They have three new iPods. They are the iPod touch, iPod nano and the iPod shuffle. I wll be talking about the iPod touch now. The iPod touch is a bit thinner than the iPod touch 3rd gen and has 2 cameras. With the front-facing camera you can now use FaceTime. The iPod touch also has the same Retina Diplay as the iPhone 4. The new iPod touch also uses the Apple A4 chip, so it can use the multitasking on iOS4. To top it off, Apple managed to get 40 hours of battery life in this thing. The prices stay the same. This is will be pretty successful, from my point of view.

14-Megapixel Smartphone Coming Next Month?

In the past cell phones haven’t always had very powerful cameras. Sony Ericsson introduced the Satio, which was a pretty good phone with a 12-megapixel camera. But now Altek is teasing us with their new “Leo” model, which apparently has a 14-megapixel camera on the back. Alex Hsia stated in the company’s press release, “Picture taking has already risen to become one of the most important mobile phone functions for consumers."

Phones able to capture high definition, high quality images and video are a win‐win for users, as well as telecommunication service providers. The camera also has the ability to capture 720p video. The phone will officially be released next month at the CommunicAsia show in Singapore. But since this phone is still a phone, it has your typical smartphone features: Wi-Fi and HSDPA. Engadget speculated the phone will most likely be running Android OS, however version information has not yet been released. Pricing information hasn't been announced either, but as the CommunicAsia rolls out, we most likely will hear more information on this monster of a smartphone.

Sony Bloggie CM5 Unboxing

Pocket HD video recorders have become a very popular segment in the video camera market. Just two years ago, there were only a handful of sub $200 cameras. Today, there a vast number of HD pocket cameras to choose from.

As someone who likes to contantly take video footage, I had been shopping for an HD camera for qute some time. There were several reasons I chose the Bloggie, but more on that in another video. For now, here's the unboxing that I recorded earlier last week.

iPad Rumors

We're exactly 27 days from the iPad's launch day, and there were some rumors about it. Here is collection of some rumors that were shown on the web since it was announced:

1. Camera Support

Some found out on the iPad's SDK that there was a front facing camera support as well as a camera flash, zoom and video conferencing, and there was a space for a camera in the iPad's enclosure.

I don't think this will happen in this version of iPad, but definitely on future versions.

2. Widget Based Apps

Some noticed that there were some apps missing from the iPhone's OS, that apps were: Clock's, Calculator, Weather, Compass and Stock's, and there were some rumors that these apps would come to the iPad as Widget like based apps.

In my opinion, this will happen on this version of iPad. And is something that Apple has kept hidden.

3. Hulu for the iPad

Some weeks after the iPad was announced, there was a report that Hulu was making it's way to the iPad, with a paid subscription service.

I think this is very likely to happen in this version of iPad, and it would be very interesting to watch Hulu on the iPad.

There were some many other rumors, but I think these were the most interesting ones, I am very exited for the iPad's launch, specially to see if these rumors are really true.
