Empire Avenue - Where's it Going?
Who's heard of Empire Avenue? I can garuantee that if you've managed too find yourself on this website, TekSocial, you know what Empire Avenue is. Everyone knows social networks are taking over the internet, but something like EA really has the potential too help social platforms change the game, once again.
The basic idea of the platform is you are investing in brands, and people. Using the virtual currency known as "Eaves" you buy and sell shares in people you believe offer social value online. Your hope is obbiously for the share price too increase. Share values are judged on social presence and activity. For example, Twitter activity is judged on retweets, favourites etc. and YouTube videos by Comments, Thumbs Ups.
The exciting thing is though, that this idea of a social stock market is taking power, and changing, one of the most powerful forms of marketing: word of mouth. How? You want the shares you buy in people too increase, right? Well, think, why did you buy those shares? Because you believe those people add value, their content is valuable, and you want too share it, and help spread that value. That's word of mouth, but get this, as you spread the word, more people are going too start wanting too invest in that person, bumping up the share value. See where I'm going (apologies if I'm explaining badly)? You benefit from helping the people you value. Everyone wins!
So what do you guys think? Are you using EA, and do you agree it's a game changer? Excited too hear your opinions...
Fancy investing in me while your at it?
