27" iMac: Hands-On

Today I will be giving you a hands-on demo of the 27″ iMac. It’s a very impressive computer. I could see great multitasking with such a great screen real estate. Watching and editing video on this iMac is probably the best out there in the desktop market. This iMac features four USB 2.0 ports, a FireWire connection, mini display, and a headphones jack. If you want to get a closer look at Apple’s newest iMac, please be sure to watch the video.

The 27″ iMac starts at $1699 and ends at $1999. I’m not going to list all of the specifications because you can go to Apple.com to find out all of that information.

Apple Rumour: Touchscreen iMac

Rumours have been floating around Twitter that Apple could be annoucing a brand new line of iMac's, along with the 'iSlate', with touchscreen functionality.

The new 22" iMac is to bring the experience from the normal iMac to a brand new level. I focuses the touch functions available on the iPhone, Magic Mouse and the Macbook trackpad all to the screen. By adding this functionality, Apple will make one of their already big products even bigger, more expensive and with more power than a average household would want.

Although this sounds like a bad idea, it would be useful to schools, particularly schools which have disabled children or adults who don't know how to use a desktop computer. The functionality would also allow photographers to skim through the photos took on the photoshoot, view it full screen and send them straight off to their client.

I must say although the idea looks a bit misty right now, if it isn't announced sometime this year, it'll certainly be released sometime next year.

Gaming on the Mac: Assault Cube

As you know, PCs have been very reliable and more used for gaming than Macs, but I have decided to make a series of videos (on YouTube) and posts (on the Social Blog) about many games for the Mac and how they play. I have an Early 2009 iMac 24" 4GB 2.93 GHz machine. Below is a video of one of the many games I will be demoing, Assault Cube. Note that they game seems "laggy" because of my screen recording software, ScreenFlow.

The new iMac & Magic Mouse ad

Apple has released three new additions to its Macintosh computer and accessory line.

The new iMacs will sport either a 21.5 or 27 inch display and will range in price from AUD$1599 to $2599. In addition to a new backlit LED display and casing design, the iMacs will also sport Intel Core i5 and i7 quad-core processors.

Accompanying the iMac overhaul is the addition of a new mouse. Dubbed the "Magic Mouse," the multi-touch device will be the first to support multi-touch finger gestures rather than clicking on buttons or scroll wheels.

Extreme Mac Desktop Customization

Are you tired of boring, plain wallpapers and simple, stock icons? Why not customize them? That's what many Mac users do! Check out my video in which I show you my customized Mac desktop. I customized it thanks to a tutorial by Amanda or (iTalkApple) on YouTube. The stuff I used to customize my Mac are as follows:
