Review: Bowtie

I have been looking for a client like Bowtie for a long time now, and I am glad that I found it. Bowtie is a desktop client that displays the current song you are playing in real time. This app is completely free and is highly customizable; I definitely recommend this app.

You can download Bowtie here.

Brief Overview: Mac OS X Lion (10.7)

At WWDC 2011 (World Wide Developers Conference) this week, Apple previewed three new products: iCloud, iOS 5 and the next version of Mac OS X: 10.7 Lion.

The new operating system has many UI tweaks since Snow Leopard giving it a fresh feel. Apple are bringing features from iOS to Mac OS X like Launchpad. Launchpad is basically like the iOS home screen but on your Mac. It shows all of your applications, folders and games. Just like on iOS, you swipe to scroll through applications.

Another feature is Mission Control which merges Expose and Spaces into on separate screen.

Mac OS X Lion features full-screen apps so you can focus on what you are working on, and nothing else.

Multi-touch is a key part of OS 10.7. Scrolling has been redesigned simply for multi-touch. Launchpad requires multi-touch. If you are using a standard USB mouse, now is the time to upgrade to an Apple Magic Mouse or an Apple Magic Trackpad.

One more thing. You will be able to buy Mac OS X Lion only from the Mac App Store in July. The CD-ROM is dead.

WWDC 2011: iOS5

Are we looking at the future of mobile operating systems? I think so.

On June 6th, 2011, Apple held their annual World Wide Developers Conference. Apple provided information on iOS 5. It's going to be out "This Fall" and be available through the iTunes costing merely $0, which I personally found a shock.

In the video I'm going to solely focus on iOS 5.

For more information you can message me on YouTube.
