The Ultimate Online Tool For Finding Online Backup Providers

AboutCloudStorage.com has recently announced a cool new tool for those looking for a good online backup provider.

In essence it's like one of the many price-comparison sites but it applies specifically to online backup providers. You enter a few simple questions and then the tool selects only those providers that perfectly match your needs; thus making choosing a backup provider much easier than the old way of sorting through dozens of different providers and accounts.

Theme Forest: Web Template Service

Theme Forest is a web template design service that allows you to purchase a design or theme with a license allowing you to use the theme for a business or service based web site. Essentially this is for those people who know how to code really well in HTML, but doesn’t feel strong in the designing portion of web design. Or in contrast it can be for the web designer to plan out the theme of the website while being able to get a web programmer to make the web site functional for those as well. One of the many talents this site offers is WordPress themes. However, for those of you who have ever used WordPress should know installing a new theme as easy as dragging and dropping the theme in a new older location. So if you’re in need of a web template of theme for your website, give theme forest a try.

Twitch Plays Pokemon

Over the past week there has been a wide event taking place over at Twitch.tv called “Twitch Plays Pokémon”, or “TPP” for short. It is an online play-through of one of the classic Gameboy games “Pokémon Red”. But it’s not just one group of friends playing the game and commenting on it. Twitch Plays Pokémon is literally 70+ thousand viewers including you if you watch it, playing through this game using only commands that you typed out on your keyboard. TPP takes the concept of a thousand monkeys in a room full of typewriters, and replaces the typewriters with one Pokémon game. The results may actually surprise you.

Slacker Radio Service

Have you ever been working on a project and realized you needed some music to help you get through it quicker? On any other day you would go to Pandora radio, but they seem to have the same songs going each time. With little change you begin to notice how old the stations are becoming, and how boring the music really is. But you can’t skip over that song, because then an advertisement will play through. With all of the advertisements which seem not to fit the station you’re on makes it feel less and less like a radio, but more of a paying service. Introducing Slacker radio, an improved version of the Pandora radio service that has a wider variety of music.  When the advertisements play it actually fits the station and sounds like a live radio station. Multiple genre’s to pick from and plenty to listen to, give this service a try.

FAMAZE Review

While browsing One More Level found an interesting looking game that almost reminded me of the NES days called FAMAZE. Interesting name aside, this is a free to play game that was designed by what I would assume to be a company, but could also just be an artist who wanted to do something different. This game was created using the 16-bit Fantasy sprite set which was created by the same people who made the game. You can buy this set for $40 on the company’s website.

The story of the game is as follows: “The mad king has turned the happy rutabagas of the land into monsters and is searching for the magic recipe for royal Rutabaga Pudding. You must delve into the kind's domain to rescue the rutabagas, find the gem of truth, and uncover the recipe before the king eats everyone.” Other than it seeming to be a silly story, it’s a pretty simple goal, collect these items and get from point A to point B with no problems. You can only choose one difficulty when you start the game which is easy mode, but once you beat the game you can choose expert mode which will challenge your skills that you have learned throughout the first play through.
