Rumor: PC Games to Support Kinect Hardware

There has been a rumour going around about PC games supporting the Xbox 360's revolutionary hardware accessory, Kinect. For those of you who are not familiar what Kinect is, basically it is a hardware accessory for controller-less gameplay. However, there are only a few games that currently support the functionality of this hardware.

A Korean PC game developer, GamePrix, has released a game called "Divine Souls" and claims that it will support the functionalities of the Kinect in the future. This might be the first time that we hear about PC Games supporting Kinect and Microsoft has not yet confirmed if this is a true possibility. It is also possible that GamePrix may have been mistaken or got a misleading information from someone inside Microsoft.

Even though this news might be very exciting for all the PC gamers out there, they shouldn't hold their breath because Microsoft has not yet confirmed its possibility. Are any of you looking forward to this? Or do you think this will be a redundant move made by Microsoft? Post your thoughts on the comments section.

Upload Videos Faster to YouTube

1. First, download MPEG Streamclip

2. Open MPEG Streamclip. Then, drag and drop your video onto the blue dots.

3. Select File > Export to... I export to MPEG-4 because it does a good job of compressing the video.

4. Select your frame size and any other settings you would like.

5. Click save.

You can also use MPEG Streamclip to convert videos to different formats and change the size of videos.

What Do You Use Your Computer For?

By now, we all have computers. Whether it’s a Mac or a PC, we all use our computers in a different way. Maybe you use it for business or for personal use, I want to walk you through how I use my Mac.

Photos:

Being the tech go-to guy in my family, I am often the person taking pictures at various family functions. Being on a Mac allows me to import them into iPhoto, adjust them if needed, and eventually mass-forward them to my family. So, one way I use my computer is primarily focused around photos.

Music:

Being a music lover, my iTune library is at about 3GB’s of music. I am constantly syncing my iPod and downloading songs on a daily basis. Not to mention TV show’s and podcasts, my library is quite extensive. Another way I use my Mac is for music and music management.

Work:

Being in school, I don’t use it for ‘work’ work. But I do use it for word processing in Pages, presentations in Keynote, and the occasional table in Numbers. But lately, I’ve found myself using PowerPoint more because it is more PC compatible which comes in handy at school.

Social:

Without my computer, I wouldn’t be able to access my social accounts such as Twitter and Facebook. Both of which are important to me.

So in conclusion, those are some of the things that I use my computer for. What do you use your computer for? Leave a response and enjoy!

Gaming on the Mac: Assault Cube

As you know, PCs have been very reliable and more used for gaming than Macs, but I have decided to make a series of videos (on YouTube) and posts (on the Social Blog) about many games for the Mac and how they play. I have an Early 2009 iMac 24" 4GB 2.93 GHz machine. Below is a video of one of the many games I will be demoing, Assault Cube. Note that they game seems "laggy" because of my screen recording software, ScreenFlow.
