Photoshop Slice Tool

Today we are going to take a look at one of the most essential tools in a web designer’s photoshop arsenal, the slice tool. I say this tool is essential because you have to slice images to make them an individual image in a theme or layout in a web design. This allows for you to give that segment a particular property and name to allow you to find it easier in the mix of all your other images. Also in this video I will be showing you how to save for web and devices which allows you to use those images or convert the images for a web format. Photoshop Layers

Today we are going to be looking at some of the cool things you can do with layers and smart objects. I will cover stacking order as well as explain what smart objects are and how to use them to your benefit. I would like to mention that this should be considered a theoretical lesson, meaning I am giving the information but you should use it to your own liking and experience something new in your own way. Photoshop: Filter Effects and Adjustment Layers

Today we are going to look at the differences between filter effects and adjustment layers in photoshop. This lesson isn’t hard at all, and can be done in a short amount of time.  My goal in this video is to show you which one is the better one to use, while being able to show you a way to get the filter effect look while being able to not ruin your images. The photos that were used in this video belong to me, but feel free to use whatever you want to help you understand the lesson better.

Photoshop Quick Selection Tool (Video)

In today's little help video, we are going to be looking at one of my favorite tools in Photoshop. The Quick Selection Tool. This tool is actually quite unique and can be very useful in some of the toughest situations. This works like a brush to where you can resize it and select or deselect certain areas of the picture with no problem. I will show you how to use it and even some cool things you can do with it. Photoshop: Pen Tool

I love using Photoshop. In this video we are going to be looking at using the pen tool, a unique path and selection tool that is integrated into Photoshop CS5. A lot of people actually have problems with this tool, but hopefully after watching this video you will find it a bit easier to handle and use. It can be used for outlining your artwork, selecting a very specific path, or even creating paths for text tools and more.
