PS3 slim announced! Oh my!

Yes, the day that my Xbox Red Rings, a new Play Station is announced! The PS3 Slim will be available Spetember 1st for $299.

Why are people excited about this? It has the same functionality as the previous model only smaller...big deal.

I have a PS2 Slim. Its the same as the regular PS2, But cut down in size. So im assuming the PS3 Slim is going to be the same.
