Microsoft considering Office for iPad?

Microsoft’s Senior Product Manager, Mike Tedesco started off a whole other set of rumours by stating that a version of Microsoft Office for the iPad is “something that we’re looking at.” and “Obviously the announcement (of the iPad) is really fresh and there’s nothing to announce or nothing that I can talk to you about today.”during a private showing of Office for Mac 2011 suite to T3.

Although Mike Tedesco could not make an official announcement of the matter, we at least know that Microsoft are considering a version of Office for Apple’s latest gadget.

Although Apple is bringing iPad-specific versions of its own iWork programs, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote for $9.99 per app to the platform, bringing Office to the iPad would more than likely improve the amount of customers who would buy the device.. but do Apple like the competition with iWork?
