The Customer has Spoken: The Switch is Coming

So if you don't know already, or you don't own an iPad, in iOS 4.2 Apple made the orignal switch on the side of the iPad for screen-rotation lock a mute switch. This enraged us owners, the fact that we had to go into the multi-tasking bar and swipe over, hit the button then resume our business, was ridiculous. Now, Apple has heard our voice. 

iOS 4.3 Beta Brings Software Option for Rotation Lock or Mute on iPad

So for the users that still want a mute switch, although you can just hold the volume rocker down for a sec to mute, you have the option to keep that. For the users that want the beast that was the rotation lock, just go into the settings and look for for the section that says use slide switch to:. Then hit the button that says Lock Roatation. Now your button will be used for rotation lock, that is until the iOS 4.3 surfaces to customers. Now we don't know when this will come, but I'll keep you updated.
