Review: iPad Camera Connector Kit

The iPad Camera Connector Kit is one of the few Apple produced accessories for the iPad. This device is very small, easy to use, and simplistic. If you enjoy using your iPad to view photos and/or you are a photographer, this device is a must-have. The kit comes with all you need to start loading pictures directly from your SD/SDHC card or camera to your iPad. Yes, I know, you can load pictures onto your iPad via iTunes, but the Camera Connector Kit allows direct loading of pictures to the iPad in one quick and easy step.

This device is a favorite for pro photographers, especially in the wedding side of things. They can simply take the pictures, load them onto the iPad, and allow the customer to pick the pictures they would like to purchase. It's that easy. At the $30 price point, many would say it is a little overpriced, but in my opinion for what it does and if you have the use case for it, it is totally worth the money.

Pros:
  • Easy to use
  • Small form factor
  • USB and SD card support
  • Fast transfer
Cons:
  • Semi-expensive
  • Only SD and SDHC cards supported (direct connect, any camera works with USB module)
  • Easy to Lose
