Breathless - Canon 60D Short Film

This is a short about life and death, or better yet perception versus reality. Is what you are seeing really what is going on? 

This is the first short film that I shot using my Canon 60D I was able to purchase for Christmas. I think it turned out decent for the amount of time I created it in. However, it could be far better. I am still trying to figure out some things about the 60D such as how I can keep the low aperture of my 50mm 1.4 prime lense without blowing out the image. So if you have any suggestions about that please help me out! Thanks.
