Spotify iPhone App Goes Live in the US

It’s officially confirmed that Spotify will be launching in the United States today, July 14th. As a matter of fact, I’m a few hours late in writing this blog post. Spotify is officially released in the US and a lot of people have negative and positive reviews. At this point in time, Spotify is invite only. They have released their official iPhone App in the United States but there’s no iPad counterpart. It works just like you’d expect it to. The good news is, the app if free!

There is a slight catch with the app since Spotify isn’t free. You will need the $9.99/month premium service in order to physically use this application. It’s a shame, but then again, it’s not a free service. There are currently two plays available for Spotify, one for $4.99/month and one for $9.99/month. The catch is that you can’t use the mobile application on the cheaper plan. If you didn’t get the chance to sign up for the beta invites, sit tight! I’m sure another round will be released soon!
