No More T-Mobile iPhone 5 Rumor

If you are a geek on USA’s wireless network called T-Mobile and you were waiting and hoping to get your hands on the next generation iPhone, you may be waiting a bit longer for your hopes and dreams to come true.

A leaked shot of T-Mobiles internet blog was sent to TmoNews and depicts a rundown of a town hall meeting from last week.  Chief Marketing Officer, Cole Brodman told employees that an iPhone 5 was not to be expected for released within the company–at least not this year.

The following is the post:

“Our business is working very hard to improve performance over the last couple of years and we’ve had some great success,” said Brodman. New products and value plans are fueling positive customer response, he added, and Brodman expects the excitement to continue into the holiday season as T-Mobile introduces two new smartphones. Note: “We are not going to get the iPhone 5 this year,” Brodman said.

If the above statement is in fact a fact, this does not rule out the possibility of the carrier grabbing another model of the iPhone on board.  Possibly the iPhone 4 or the rumored iPhone 4S?  The rumored iPhone 4S is to debut alongside of the next iPhone but let’s not get off topic!

A T-Mobile representative told our sources that the company does not comment on rumors, while adding that the company is holding an event next week.

“We remain focused on expanding our portfolio of 4G smartphones. We look forward to sharing on Monday news about our latest and greatest product lineup,” the representative said.

The possibility of T-Mobile actually getting the iPhone has been lingering for years but will it actually happen?  With AT&T acquiring T-Mobile, would it even be wise for them to put the iPhone onto their contracts or just wait out until the final transaction goes through?  Would the iPhone on T-Mobile even be reliable?  Leave your thoughts in the comment section!  I’m always interested to see your thoughts.
