Grokr Video Review: Personalized Search App

Do you always find yourself looking for the same information over and over again? Your mobile device probably saves the Google searches you do, but it can still be a pain accessing them. If you have an iPhone it might not be saving at all. For some reason, the device is a bit finicky when it comes to things like that.

It would be simpler to have all of that information you commonly search for in a single place. One that is easier to manage than bookmarks or saved pages. Which is where Grokr comes in, the iOS equivalent to Google Now.

How It Works

The interface and features are close to identical to Google Now, which is an Android only application that Apple users have long been lamenting not having access to. The main difference is that it has more graphic friendly, allowing you to get a visual version of your info.

See maps that show where you spend most of your time via your GPS data, find places in the area wherever you are for food, shopping or entertainment, sync up your social media streams from Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, and more. Plus save your frequent searches, or any that you want to keep on hand. All accessed from a single app with a user friendly interface.

What Users Are Saying

So far, the reviews for this app have been largely positive. The interface is easy to navigate, there are no major bugs that impede use, and the tools are functional. Mostly there is a consensus about the need for an app that matched Google Now for the iOS, and this seems to give users the features they have been wanting in such a program.

If you don't mind it being a little lax on predictive search but good on everything else, it is a great app.
