Waze - The Best Speed Trap IPhone Application

WazeAs a Las Vegas traffic ticket lawyer I have dealt with hundreds of traffic tickets. First of all, you should not speed. Nevertheless, in my opinion, the vast majority of speed traps are only designed for raising revenue and not public safety.

The main reasons that I say this are as follows:

Speed Traps Are Unfair - In many rural areas, within a few feet, the posted speed limit changes from 45 to 25 MPH within a few feet. This means that you will be hard-pressed to slow down quick enough to reach the posted speed limit.

Gmaps Video Review: iPhone Google Maps Browser

There has been a bit of controversy lately surrounding Apple Maps. It turns out that it isn't quite accurate, and people in Australia have actually drove into the Outback looking for a town that was dozens of kilometers away. This is a problem even in cities, where for some reason the maps aren't reading proper coordinates.

Grokr Video Review: Personalized Search App

Garmin StreetPilot: The Official App for iPhone

As some of you may know, I work for a small company called Garmin International. This is not an ad. I was not paid for it. I take pride in my work and do, however, like to share the lastest innovative products that my company creates. And they have done it this time.

They were not first to the game to create a GPS iPhone app. I dare, however, say they are the best choice for ease of use, user interface, and most of all, navigation. These other apps take up gigabytes of your space on your iPhone. The Garmin StreetPilot app takes up 7 megabytes. The app itself is $39.99, but with that price you get lifetime maps and lifetime traffic. The app also speaks streetnames.

You decide. Available for iPod, iPhone, and iPad. Check out the screenshots for yourself.
