Is Tweetbot for Mac worth almost 20 dollars?

Many Apple users know about the famous twitter client called Tweetbot. In late 2012, Tweetbot's creators decided to migrate to the Mac OS X platform. They did a very nice job with the interface of the client. It looks amazing! Tweetbot for Mac brings you all the cool features of the mobile app for a bigger screen. But many people complained about the app price: US$ 19,99.

We all know that Twitter has an official app for OS X, the one which was not updated since the 1st of June 2011, but Tweetbot for mac came to show to the heavy-users what they always wanted. A lot of information is going online every second on Twitter. Personally, I do not watch tv anymore and just read the news via social networks. With the streaming timeline I can quickly read tweets when I'm surfing the web or doing other things. 

You can also add columns of your mentions, lists, direct messages, profile etc.

If you move the columns together they turn into a single window, seems like a magnetic field between them.

The application is way better than the official Twitter app. It has a lot of features, including gestures recognition, mute filters (to use with annoying people) and compatibility with the notification center.

For those users who have Tweetbot for iOS on the mobile device, the mac app allows you to sync your Twitter information via iCloud, all you need to do is to activate it in the settings.

The more important part of this post is about the price. 19,99 dollars on a Twitter Client? It seems an absurd for a lot of people out there but if you really analyze the qualities of the program, the time of development and the hard work of two people. You will probably think twice before downloading it illegally.  I've been using the app since it came out. I really love the way that it turned into my main source of news. If you buy this application, you will be helping two human beings who spent days building it for you, and they did a great job!
