Goodbye Google Reader, Hello SNATZ

Google reader death 2013When Google Reader disappeared last July 2013, many of us were left scratching our heads and wondering “what now?”.

The infographic below explains what happened to the service, taking a look at its timeline, and its death. If you still haven’t found a newsreader service to meet your needs, there’s a new player in town: it’s called SNATZ, a free web app at http://snatz.com - and it’s just right for busy techies who are short on time.

We’re not quite sure how it’s done, but thanks to a lot of complicated algorithms and calculations, the service is able to constantly look at data from thousands of tech publications, and identify which news items are trending most, and which would be most interesting to you (based on your social media activity or existing RSS subscriptions).
