Get Over Google Reader with Liferea

You must have heard that Google Reader will be shutting down on July 1. Since the news broke, everyone and their aunt have been talking and writing about Google's merciless decision which has left many users disappointed. Still, it's not the end of the world; there are plenty of other applications to choose from, both desktop and web-based. How to Migrate from Google Reader to Feedly

With Google's shock announcement that they would be closing Google Reader come July 1st people are now looking for alternatives to take it's place.  It's was even one of my top 10 Android apps to have. One possible alternative to Google Reader is Feedly.

Feedly is a cloud based feed reader and is available for Web Browsers and Mobile operating systems - both Feedly iOS and Feedly Android. It uses a minimalistic magazine layout, has incredible social network integration and allows a huge degree of customization. Couple all that with a completely seamless Google Reader migration and it's easy to see why it's been one of the more popular choices to switch to.
