Flappy Bird Returns!
Today we are going to be covering several technology based news topics that you may find interesting or useful to know. One of the topics that have been the buzz on several news websites is flappy bird creator Dong Nguyen is re-releasing Flappy Bird this august with some new improvements including a multiplayer feature so that others can compete against each other. Dong Nguyen has also stated he is going to try and make the game less addicting, how exactly he is going to be doing that is unknown. But good fortune will come to Dong Nguyen, because of the mass hype of the first Flappy Bird game; it shouldn’t be hard to meet maximum sales within the month of the game being released.

Another topic of discussion is Facebook releasing an update to their mobile applications allowing for users to search for songs and TV shows by putting the microphone up to the speaker so that it can easily identify the show itself. Although this concept isn’t new, it does allow for a more in depth sharing experience with your friends. However be warned, not everyone is going to be looking forward to the latest episode of “The Walking Dead” as much as you are. So share responsibly and stay considerate of the people around you.

Now if you use eBay as much as I do, then you should change your password as soon as possible. Last week eBay had a security breach where over 145 million accounts security details have been compromised. Your PayPal information should be secure; however all the transaction details, address information, and general information you have put on your eBay account is at risk. eBay is strongly encouraging you to change your password immediately. I know sometimes we tend to forget the simple things, but it is important to keep your information safe.

Alright, if you are an Xbox Live member or someone who has an Xbox 360 or Xbox One this information may excite you. Microsoft finally dropped the gold membership requirement to use the entertainment/media based applications. Applications such as Netflix, Hulu, ESPN, and Crackle (just to name a few) no longer need that pesky gold membership to use the services. It’s a good thing to, because why pay for several services if you just want to use your console as a streaming device? Although all this is good news one thing I wish Microsoft would bring back is the ability to watch Netflix shows and movies with friends over a party invite. I like being able to sit in the comfort of my own home and chat with friends while watching movies.
