DKnight MagicBox Wireless Speakers Review
The DKnight MagixBox Wireless Speaker is exactly what the name implies, a wireless speaker. For those of you who are looking for a cheap Bluetooth speaker with some decent sound quality then look no further. With a price tag of $27.99 on Amazon you can by this amazing sounding speaker. There is another alternative speaker with better Bass called the Ion Storm, but that will have to wait for another day. Although I cannot give a lot of specific details about the speaker itself, I can however give you my personal experience was well as a general overview as to what the speaker does. So let’s get started and look at this nicely crafted speaker.
This speaker has both a left and right channel speaker with a bass underneath. If you set it on a flat surface it will use that surface to amplify the bass to give it a better kick. You can hook up a MicroSD card to use this speaker as a shuffle MP3 player; however you can only use a max size of 32 GB. Sure it’s more than the 8 GB mp3 player that I have right now, but it doesn’t seem like much if you collect as much music as I do. On the device itself you have a aux port to hook up things like a portable cd player, your computer, or things within that nature. You also have a micro USB port to allow for charging, and an on off switch. This device uses Bluetooth v3.0 which is the up to date model, and you can open up the device and switch the battery if it ever goes out. The battery is a Nokia BL-5C, but on my model they made it a bit more difficult to change. That’s another big difference between models, changing the battery. The other big difference is on the top of the device, there are more buttons than the newer model, and less on the older. Which the buttons are the simple play and pause, next, previous, speaker phone, etc. So there is a lot of helpful things this speaker can do as well.
As far as sound quality and volume goes, for a cheap speaker I was actually impressed with the quality. With Bluetooth there is two volume controls on the device. With aux there is only the device volume control. The two volume controls are the speaker itself, and the phone or mp3 player’s volume. The bass sounds amazing, and the speakers produce a rich sounding experience. So, what’s the catch? Depending on the volume of device actually determines the life span of the device itself. Only 5 to 6 hours of battery life. Which isn’t bad, however on an 8 hour shift of work I have to skip two hours to just get a full day worth of music. Now another question that gets asked a lot is how loud is it? Well, in a factory where we have fork lifts, drills, air compressor, and pretty much anything that would make someone with sensitive hearing shiver, even from about 50 feet away you can still hear your music pretty clear.
So overall is this speaker worth it? Well, yeah! For a cheap alternative to a better model speaker, you do get what you pay for. If you’re wanting something that is a bit more studio quality you will find yourself spending a bit more money for a better product. But in this case if you’re looking for a quick buy to get you going this speaker does the job pretty nicely. For more information on the speaker itself check the link below.
