The DKnight MagixBox Wireless Speaker is exactly what the name implies, a wireless speaker. For those of you who are looking for a cheap Bluetooth speaker with some decent sound quality then look no further. With a price tag of $27.99 on Amazon you can by this amazing sounding speaker. There is another alternative speaker with better Bass called the Ion Storm, but that will have to wait for another day. Although I cannot give a lot of specific details about the speaker itself, I can however give you my personal experience was well as a general overview as to what the speaker does. So let’s get started and look at this nicely crafted speaker.

Windows 10 Overview & Thoughts

On Wednesday July 29th Microsoft has finally released Windows 10 taking it out of the Beta form and giving it a full release to the public. If you were a Windows 7 or Windows 8 user, you were given the chance to get a free upgrade by reserving it or pay the $120+ for a copy of the program. If you had a reserved copy you were notified that your upgrade was available, or letting you know that a copy will be available for your computer soon. Most of the delays are due to computer manufacturers preparing drivers for the operating system, or minor bugs being fixed. There is a way to get past the wait, but it requires you deleting some files and forcing the update to your computer. For more of that click the link below.

Case-Mate Tough Case for Samsung Galaxy SIII Review

The Case-Mate Tough Case with its signature two piece hybrid design has been a staple amongst gadget-lovers everywhere for a while now, so it's only natural that Case-Mate bring the case to the Samsung Galaxy S3. So, the question is, is it actually good?

In the box you will receive just the case. No accessories. Considering the price of this, what many would call 'premium', case it would have been nice for the to drop in a screen protector or two.

The case it self is composed of a two pieces: a soft silicone interior layer and a hard rubberised polycarbonate layer that surrounds it. The silicone layer is soft and flexible, making it perfect to absorb shock should you drop your device. The silicone layer also handily covers up the power and volume buttons, adding another element of protection. The hardened polycarbonate layer is rigid and covered in a very 'grippy' texture. As this is the outer layer of the case, it is safe to say that with the case applied, it shouldn't be sliding around your hand much. Both parts of the case have cutouts for the earphone jack, micro-USB connector, microphone, camera and speaker.

On it's own the case is great, but when it comes to putting it on to your phone it's a different story. The silicone layer is easy enough to slip on, but getting that hard plastic layer to surround it whilst still making sure that all connectors and ports are aligned properly is extremely difficult. Not only does it require an unholy amount of strength to physically pull the hard plastic over the silicone covers of the volume rocker and power button, but aligning them to make sure you have full access to said buttons is just downright tedious. Furthermore, whilst applying I found that my power button was continually being unintentionally pressed, causing a boot loop to occur every time I tried to put this case on.

Once on, however, the case is brilliant. It hugs the phone nicely, but at the same time feels good to hold in the hand thanks to its curvature and grippy texture on the outside. Furthermore, once aligned, all ports are brilliantly protected and easy to access. The case's 'lip' extends protrudes fairly far out from the display meaning should you put the device face down at any point, there is a decent amount of space between your device's massive display and the surface you are resting it on. This in turn means a decrease in the likelihood of scratching, a big plus considering how beautiful the display on the S3 is. I also do like how the case creates a black frame around the perimeter of the device. It nicely encapsulates the phone and provides a nice bezel when watching videos on the device. The case adds bulk to the device, but not to the extent of making it feel unwieldy. In my opinion, it adds just the right amount to make it nice to hold. The case is also not too heavy, but still adds more of a premium feel to the case it self and the phone.

Overall, a very solid case for any Galaxy S3 owner despite gripes about application and the lack of accessories. If you're not going to be taking this case off too often, then you can disregard the former caveat.

You can check out a plethora of iPhone 5 accessories, as well as purchase this case over here

WWDC: My Thoughts on iOS5

I have just watched the Apple iOS5 keynote and to be quite honest, it disappointed me.

Firstly - Twitter integration. It took me a while to see what I love about iOS, and why no other mobile operating system has done it for me, but because of Twitter integration I now have an answer. Isolation. Since the very start, every app has always been isolated to its own little space, and I love that. In android, there are app widgets, this removes the isolation from the rest of the system. I don't know about Blackberry OS as I have never used it, but I'm sure something like that applies. Twitter integration just seems to go against everything that iOS stands for.

Then there's iMessage. From the very start I could see something wrong with it - the icon. People who aren't very tech-savvy, my parents for example, could quite possibly mix up the iMessage app with the Messages app. The fact that they also have very similar names doesn't help with distinguishing the two apps. Furthermore, from the very limited demo we saw, there doesn't seem to be great new features that would make people use this, instead of say PingChat. There are thousands of cross platform apps that do the same thing, quite possibly better, with an already established user-base.

This next thing is a little critical, but it really annoyed me. The lock screen Camera button. It just looked out of place. And to be completely honest, it saves about 5 taps at most.

I will admit that there are some great new features, such as the new additions to Safari, and the amazing new photo editing with Photos. But, in the end, it is still very underwhelming for me. I would love to hear your point of view on this, comment below or contact me on Twitter - @NatIsGleek.

Steve Jobs, 6 Weeks to Live: My Thoughts

I don't usually post personal blog posts on TekSocial, but this I might just to gather everyone's opinions.Jobs, back in the day Please, set aside 5-10 minutes of your time to read and comment on this post.

It has been announced in various news articles that Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, who took time off to focus on his health, has been given 6 weeks to live. This is due to the fact that he has pancreatic cancer, which grows on part of your digestive system. For the faint hearted, the pancreas is a 6-inch long gland and is shaped like a leaf. It provides insulin, unless you're diabetic and releases hormones which revolve around digestion.

Earlier on, I watched a video Chris Pirillo recorded and published to YouTube, claiming that when he announced the news to his near 92,000 followers on Twitter, a 'kid' messaged him back saying that he will 'celebrate his death'. Why? I'm unsure.

What Jobs has created, a company that only recently claimed the top spot of the computing market, a music device range that has changed the music industry and the people around us, why must someone come to their senses and say such a negitive and disgusting thing. Sure, he may be a kid, no younger than 13 unless his parents don't know he's on Twitter but use some common sense at least, especially when you're talking to a person you don't know in person who has so much power on the internet.

If Jobs pulls through his hard time, or not, we should all remember what Steve has created. A range of products that has made us, 'Think Differently'.
