iWork vs. Microsoft Office for Mac

Which word processor do you prefer for your Mac: iWork vs. Microsoft Office?

Full article

Opinion by Iglio

I prefer Microsoft Word.  To put it simply for conveniance use microsoft word, in no way are you ever going to be able to use Keynote unless your at a company/university that is all Mac, hence powerpoint is the way to go, in addition everyone else has it.  Enoutourage dominates Apple Mail in terms of usability.  It can sync with the iPhone and its not as glitchy as Apple Mail which crapped out on me.

Also it prevents the user from having to have open iCal, Adress Book, and Mail because Entourage does ALL of that very smoothley.  Word is simply the dominate word processor.  It has seniority over Pages and when it comes down to work flow the user will be more pleased with Word.  I have both and I have really given Pages a shot but I find myself always switching back to Word.  MSN messenger they kinda just throw in there, its free anyways online so idk.  It nice for out of US users, (the rest of the world uses MSN not AIM).

Lomo Photography

It is true! You do learn something new everyday...especially in Photoshop CS3. Everyday I am amazed at what I can do within Photoshop. It is an amazing program and definitely worth the money! If you do not already have Photoshop CS3, go to Adobe's website and download the 30-day trial, you wont be disappointed!

Now, today I found yet another cool feature in Photoshop CS3. It's called "Actions." I never knew what they were until I found a plug-in which turns your regular photo into that "vintage" Lomo look! It's actually really neat!

Here are a few photos I have gotten so far from playing around with it:

About me

Hi,

This is a bit about me let you know who I am what I do.  My name is Scott I work in the telecommunications industry I work all day on the phone and with mobile phones I love it the people I work with are great.

I also have an iPhone 3g which is in my opinion the best phone on the market. I have had a play with a HTC G1 for 3 days and it was good but not as good as the iPhone a bit slow and battery was poor. I have recently became a big fan of blackberry and the amount of things that can be done with them but I love touch screen and the storm is rather poor build. I am happy to answer any questions on phones

I plan to attend university again next year it didn't work out last time. Even tho I worked with mac's lots I hated the city I was in. I am planning on attending my local university this time around. I am wanting to do either sociology.

I am often classed as a mac geek and regularly help others get several emails a week asking for help. I always take time to reply and can be contacted though my blog too. I use a Macbook pro on a daily bases I also use it for making music I am studying piano I use a Korg keystation 49 to make my music Macbook pro.  I have a mini mac In my bedroom hidden away set up to my TV I use it basically as a appleTV. I have a 500 GB hard drive full of movies music and TV shows I am a total geek know about all sorts of films watch them loads. I could not live without my Sky HD satellite tv Just for the amount of movies I watch.

I spend many hours on my xbox 360 not as much online play as I use to you can find me on fable2 a lot my gamer tag is KINGNE10 if you want to add me and play feel free. I also play lots of rock band on ps3 with my friends. I normally drum's :D.

New White Macbook Update

Today, Apple updated its current white Macbook.  The white version of the Macbook is the lower end version of Apple's current lineup of laptops.  Although, I hate to refer to any of Apple's products as low end.  It was updated with better hardware than the previous model.  The new version contains 2GB of DDR2 Memory, a 120GB hard drive,  and an improved GPU (NVIDIA GeForce 9400M).  There will still be no multi-touch trackpad.  These improvements don't come with a change in price.  The current price for this version of the Macbook is $999.00.  It is a very good deal.  So if you are interested in picking up a new Macbook or any laptop for that matter, you should definitely check this deal out.
