Should we call the Galaxy S4, S3s? Is Samsung following Apple's strategy?

Unless you have been living under a rock for the last two months, Samsung has announced its flagship Android phone for the current season, the Samsung Galaxy S4. For the vast majority of users, the phone is great and I can't disagree with them. But if you look at it from another perspective, compared to its ancestor, it isn't the upgrade I expected to be.

If we do a flashback, and go back to the commence of the series, the S1 was really an auspicious sign for a fresh new start for Samsung, despite Apple's claims that it was a copy of the iPhone 3Gs. From pretty much obscurity, the company went to once again international fame. One year after the company launches the S1’s successor, the S2. The phone offered a huge enhancement on both software and hardware. Moving on to the third generation, the biggest upgrades of all, the South Korean company mesmerized us all. The Samsung Galaxy S3 brought a whole new experience while interacting with your smartphone. The design was absolutely brilliant, incredibly thin, Touch Wiz was reinvented, and it contained tremendous tech specifications. I was looking in awe when I touched the phone for first time. In my humble opinion, the S3 was an impeccable phone.

Samsung Galaxy S3's battery goes BOOOOOOOM!

(Sorry, I'm a little over acting at the title)

Everyone knows that Samsung's copying Apple's ideas and such for those people who can't afford or just hates Apple's amazing gadgets for no reason. You know how many people expect new stuff on new gadgets right especially geeks? So let's get to the point. Here's the story..

Meanwhile in Ireland.. some consumer's phone exploded at its butt part. Unfortunately for Samsung, the overwhelmingly positive reception afforded to the S3 may be in danger or souring somewhat. after that being said, the dude from Ireland wrote among other comments that it might not be the fault of the phone itself, instead, he pointed out that maybe it was the combination of his car mount and his car’s heating system.

Also, a South Korean student reported that his S3's battery exploded while in his pocket. Samsung responded by suggesting that the battery much have been exposed to massive external force to trigger the failure. So far, I believe no one was harmed. But still, this shouldn't be ignored.

Samsung once again showed us how amazing devices she make. The company also announced that a 4G LTE models will be coming soon. Something that impressed me a lot is that it has an HDMI import. The Galaxy S3 also supports a voice assistant like Siri, which is called "The S Voice". Here are some examples of its capabilities announced by Samsung:  “In addition to allowing information search and basic device-user communication, S Voice presents powerful functions in regards to device control and commands,” Samsung explained in a release. “When your phone alarm goes off but you need a little extra rest, just tell the GALAXY S III “snooze.”  You can also use S Voice to play your favorite songs, turn the volume up or down, send text messages and emails, organize your schedules, or automatically launch the camera and capture a photo.”

Here is a photo of the device itself. As you can see its super thin, the front is made by glass and the back by hyperglaze and it has two touch sensitive menu buttons and one physical home button.

Overall I think the new Samsug Galaxy S3 is a great device, which currently is both the best Android smartphone. It runs the latest version of Android, its quad-core, amazing camera and display, super thin and S Voice support. The third generation Samsung Galaxy S will be available in the Europe at May 29th, before it's live to the rest countries.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Review

The time has passed where I decided to purchase my first tablet PC. The closest thing I had to an ultra-portable tablet previously was my Samsung Tocco phone, my Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop that has recently died, and my HTC Advantage PDA.

I had been saving up to buy an iPad 2 16GB WiFi only model for a few months now, and as soon as I got the money, I had second thoughts.

I have bought this specifically for school work, and taking around with me as all my coursework is set on a flash-based website. I know Flash sucks, but I am going to need it in the long run.

Now, my favourite two tablets have always been Apple’s iPad, and the Galaxy Tab from Samsung right from when they released the original Galaxy Tab.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 claims to be the thinnest tablet on the market, and it really packs a punch. It boasts a damn good 720p HD camera, and a very sleek design. However, that said, the rear is very clunky, snappy and creaky. It feels cheap, and your hands start to sweat a bit after using it.

Personally, I prefer the iPad 2 simply because of it's aluminium design, and the stability of iOS, but if you need Flash, or just want a good tablet, then I'd go for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.
