Will the iPhone 4 be successful?

Today was a keynote day. We were so nervous for this. Today at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA, Steve Jobs took the stage and he revealed a lot of new things, but the most beautiful, the iPhone 4.

You can read all the specs on it in the other posts that we have been writing. We even posted a video about it, but my question is: Will it be successful? In my opinion, the hardware is gorgeous and the software (iOS 4) is the best OS in the world, but for some people, they wanted something new, something with more features.

I want to make you remember something, and that being Apple is probably the best company in the world, and we think it can make everything, because they have us accustomed to the best technology. Maybe we are wanting more than the future. At least Apple is just a company like Google or Microsoft.

iPhone 4: The Facts

There was a lot of hype as to what new features will be included in apples new innovative iPhone and apple did not fail to deliver. The new “iPhone 4” was released today (7^th June 2010) at the WWDC, from the moment it was revealed it had many peoples jaw dropping. The phone has had a complete re-design which brings even more elegance and class to the iPhones name, the front and back of the phone has two glass panels which Apple claims is 30x harder than plastic. Also on the exterior of the iPhone is a stainless steel ring which gives the phone a more rigid frame, as well as acting as an antenna. 

Another great feature apple have announced is their “Retina Display” which is the highest quality screen ever put into a phone boasting 320 pixels per inch. Also new is a 5.0 megapixel camera with an LED flash; this is a great advance as one of the previous iPhones let downs was its camera. It also has a front facing camera which can be used for video calling or as apple have called it “Face Time”, this is not such a great feature as apple have lead us to believe, as this type of technology has been around for a while.

Video recording was only introduced to the iPhone line when the “3gs” came out although the iPhone 4 records full 720p High definition video which can easily be edited on the iPhone using iMovie.  This adds great value to the iPhone and is sure to make it a great seller.

All in all the iPhone 4 is set to be a great success with some great new features such as its “Retina display” just reiterating how good apple are at surprising us and showing the endless capabilities of technology. The release of this phone is sure to get all other companies working hard to design and develop a rival to it which can only be a good thing. In my opinion I believe the iPhone 4 is great and I am sure to be spending my money on one.

Apple's WWDC Event 2010: My Predictions

It's that time of the year again: WWDC 2010, where Apple will unveil their new hardware, software, product price drops, etc. WWDC is basically an early Christmas for Apple fanboys, as well as anyone out there that enjoys Apple products. Over the past few months there have been countless rumors and predictions on what people believe Apple will unveil at this keynote. The WWDC event will be held from June 7th - June 11th.

In this video, I provide my predictions on what I believe Apple will release at this event, as well as what I believe they will not release.

27" iMac: Hands-On

Today I will be giving you a hands-on demo of the 27″ iMac. It’s a very impressive computer. I could see great multitasking with such a great screen real estate. Watching and editing video on this iMac is probably the best out there in the desktop market. This iMac features four USB 2.0 ports, a FireWire connection, mini display, and a headphones jack. Why I sold my iPad

Like many of you out there, I bought the iPad on April 3rd. I was so excited to have the new device that the public had hyped up months before. I installed some apps, and thought they were rather fun. I even bought some of the expensive ones.

But as the month went on, I used it less. It got to the point where it would just sit there all day and collect dust. I really had no use for it. I think I bought it from all the hype the public gave it. You could honestly say, I was bored.

I don't think I would have been so bored if the apps weren't an arm and a leg. All the good iPad apps start at $9.99. I'm not going to throw that kind of money for an hour of fun, if that.

I found myself using my iPhone more than the iPad. The iPhone is small, light, and doesn't feel like it is going to break. The iPad was heavy, large, and felt delicate. The iPad is a beautiful device and has potential. I would have gone with OS X instead of iPhone OS, but Apple knows what they are doing.

I put my iPad on Craigslist and traded it for a brand new HP laptop two hours later. And I must say, I am enjoying this new computer over the iPad already.

I guess the iPad was just not for me.
