Snow Leopard OMG!

Mac OS X 10.6 or Snow Leopard has arrived! If you pre-ordered Snow Leopard before Wednesday, August 26, 2009, you should have received a nice big brown box on the front of your door. If not, go look, or yell at Fed Ex! As for me, do I have the godly new OS? As of now, no. I just ordered it of the Apple website with standard 3 to 5 day shipping. So now that you have Snow Leopard, what are you gonna do? If you haven't what are you waiting for? Huh? The next greatest OS is just sitting there waiting to be put on your Mac!! So let's do it!

  1. Make a back up of your Macintosh HD using Time Machine on Mac OS Leopard.
  2. Make sure that you BACKED IT UP!
  3. Now, you can put the Snow Leopard Install DVD in your super drive.
  4. You have two options on what you can do next, either shutdown and hold "C" to boot into the DVD or wait for a window to open.
  5. For those who have waited, you now simply click on the DVD in the window and go through the installation
  6. BUT WAIT! You can also pick what you want to install in the second or third sequence.
  7. "Oh look mom I am on Snow Leopard!" If you did everything right (hopefully), you should have Snow Leopard

Congrats and enjoy "The Most Advanced Operating System Finely Tuned"

Thanks Apple!!!

iPod Classic Makes Comeback?

With September around the corner, several rumors have been floating around regarding the future state of Apple's iPod lineup, several leading to the possible death of the iPod Classic.  Apple's only remaining harddrive based player has taken the back seat to the iPod Touch and Nano as of late, so no one seemed surprised at the notion that life at Apple would soon exist without the Classic model.  That was until today.  Taiwan's Digitimes suggests that not only will the iPod Classic continue, but "OmniVision will be the sole supplier of 3.2-megapixel [CMOS image sensor] products for new iPod nano, iPod classic and iPod Touch models which will be launched in September."  Can't get more direct than that.

Shocked?  So am I.  Granted these are just rumors, but I don't know if you guys have noticed the rumor mill seems to be pretty reliable these days.  Only time will tell if September 9 marks the death or rebirth of the semi-original iPod.

Thanks for reading.

iTunes Introduces Digital 45's: Two Songs 1 Price.

Recently, Apple has put Digital 45s in the iTunes Store. For those of you who don't know what Digital 45 is, it is a type of music that holds two songs in one. There are two sides of an original Digital 45: Side A and Side B. Side A would have a popular song and Side B would have a lesser know track or a special. For example the song Billie Jean by the King Michael Jackson is side A and Can't Get Outta The Rain a lesser know song is side B. These Digital 45s will cost you $1.49 USD to $1.99 USD respectively. iTunes has many great D45s in the store and I hope that they will add more.

I hope you enjoyed this post.
