"Where's my camera?"

After yesterday's event, the world has bombarded the Cupertino company with everything from questions to complaints regarding the absence of a camera added to the iPod touch line. While the iPod touch recieved a drastic price drop, new GPU, and updated OS, there still isn't a camera. To our surprise, Apple introduced a tiny little video camera on the Nano line. So what's up?

 Steve was prompted immediately after the event, when he told vlogger and columnist David Pogue that the iPod touch is in the "gaming" market, and lowering the price offered the most inexpensive route to the App Store.

 While we may not all agree with Apple's decision, I can say that I'm confident a camera will show up on the iPod touch in the near future. Stay tuned.

Apple Is Already Cutting Prices

With the iPod Even only a few hours away, Apple is already slashing prices on the iPod Touch line for a release of a new line. As you can see, the iPod Touch 8GB is now $189, the 16GB is $249 and the 32GB model is $279 on Apple's Online Store.

As well as the iPod Nanos, which may be getting refreshed.

 

And we can't forget the iPod Classic. This is a sure sign that new iPods will be arriving today!

Speck Candyshell Review

The Speck Candyshell is a very nice case for your Ipod touch or your iphone. It is very protective with a soft cushioned inside and a very hard shell outside. Though the case is hard on the outside it is still flexible. One feature that i like about the case is that it covers the sleep button and the volume rockers with rubber which prevents dust and dirt from getting in there. Even tho the buttons are covered with rubber they still function just as they would if they where naked. The Candyshell offers great drop protection because of the hard outside layer and the soft and smooth inside layer , with those to combined it helps prevent damage to your Ipod/Iphone.Some down sides of the case are the lower piece of the case under the home button seems to be fragile and could snap easily with some wear and tear. Also another down side of the case is it is very difficult to get the case off the device. Other then those two down sides the case is great and i like everything about it. One great feature about this case is it will not scratch your device because of the soft interior. Overall I really recommend this case and I think it will last you quite a while.

iPod Touch Third Generation Coming?

It is the third most probable apple rumor over the past couple of days, with the rumor of the Apple Tablet coming this fall. iTunes 9 coming also with blu-ray support and other iPhone app organization features, but this rumor tops them as the most probable of the three. A third generation iPod Touch is most likely to come out this September in an emergency iPod meeting heading into the shopping season.

This device is rumored to have:

A camera with ability to obviously take pics as well as video

A built in microphone, maybe for a skype ability

Increase in memory, possibly a 64 GB model, which also would raise the price

An OLED screen which makes colors look a lot better

And maybe even a color change

Front facing camera, maybe for chat room abilities

So with that said, if you can hold out on buying an iPod Touch until mid September and if you already bought one, check your return policy to see if you can return it to possibly get a new iPod.
