We are living in years of mobile devices, which includes phones with camera, GPS, internet etc. But let's focus on camera for smartphones. We all know that some photos taken with a cellphone may look horrible. Nowadays, social networks like Instagram show this fact more often. I will not talk about Flickr, the social network for professional photographers and beginners. I will talk about the average user.

ColorBlast Lite: a Free Photo Re-Color App for iPhone

There are plenty of photo apps out there that let you manipulate and recolor images. I have found a couple of good ones, but most seem to be pretty lackluster. The filters are nothing write home about, and I am especially unimpressed with those that let you create black and white images with bits of color. Just because it doesn't evenly distribute it, and often it throws off the original color as well, making it look dull.

ColorBlast works a lot better in this regard. It is specially made to let you create black and white, tinted or sepia tone photos. Then intensify the color of a specific object, or make it a different color if you choose.
