Proporta 'Doodle Pad' Hard Shell for iPhone 4S

Proporta have been making a wide range of cases for the iPhone 4, and since the announcement and release of the iPhone 4S, we have seen many more cases appear on the market. This reviews will specifically focus on the Doodle Pad Hard Shell case from Proporta.com.

The Doodle Pad Hard Shell case arrives in a cardboard box with plastic insert, to which the case sits inside away from possible dust/damage during transit. The case doesn't include a screen protector, which I would say can be a small disadvantage when looking for a case for your new device, however I personally do not use one, so I don't see it as a let down.

The case comes in 2 other designs, one based on the Times Tables, and the other based on the scientific Periodic Table, both of which studied in schools around the world.

Upon taking the case outside the box, you get the feel instantly that this is a premium built case, and not something flimsy and easily breakable. The case has a soft matt finish to it, which the same feeling on the inside offering for protection against scratching the back glass of the iPhone. Many people upon seeing the case on my phone have asked if the drawing deplicted on the case are hand drawn, although they seem it they are not. It's all part of the design of the case, and I did spend a good 15 minutes looking over the case when I first unboxed it at all the designs.

Most cases seem to have issues with the camera and flash on the back of the iPhone, I have tested this case thoroughly and I don't see any flash flare from the case, nor does the thickness of the case affect the camera's focal area in any way. All the ports around the camera are open, including full access to the side volume buttons and mute slider switch.

As you can see from the photo above, the case doesn't really affect the front of the phone, and the case doesn't offer a lip as such around the edge of the phone's bezel. The case sits on the metal accent around the sides of the phone, which I personally like as I prefer the front of the phone to be on full display. The durability of the case is of a high quality, I found it to be difficult to bend it, and it seemed very sturdy when under pressure. The case can be a bit of a pain to pull off the phone, but with a little easing it does come off in the end.

Overall, I would happily recommend this case to anyone who enjoys a nice quirky design on your phone, and to anyone who wants that simple side/back protection, but leaving the front of the phone open for all its glory. I would like to say many thanks to Proporta.com for sending this case out to review.

The Proporta 'Doodle Pad' Hard Shell can be picked up from Proporta.com for £14.95, and comes with a lifetime warranty. For more information on this case, please head on over to the website by clicking Here.

Thanks for watching as always! If you have any specific questions regarding this camera or its quality, feel free to create some discussion in the comments and I will get back to you!

Toshiba H30 Camileo Camcorder

I am a youtuber. This is something I love to do for a hobby and hopefully, as a job to. But being a youtuber means you have to provide a nice line of content in good quality. The camcorder I was using before I even thought about buying this thing, was an old RCA home video camera. The only problem was, without A small VHC tape, I couldn't record anything unless hooked up to a capture cord. To be honest that was more of a hassle than it should of ever been. So after all the annoying steps I had taken before hand, I had looked into purchasing a new HD camcorder for cheap. Of course, wal-mart being the main store to go too down here in the south, I started there. When I got to the store I was amazed to see this small handheld looking camcorder. I looked it over and said "What the heck." and bought it. To this day, I think I should of looked around a bit longer.

Now after reading that you may be thinking its a bad camcorder. Not at all. The only problem with this camcorder is that, it encrypts the video files to where you have to use the software provided. Now let me tell you, ArcSoft has to be one of the worst video editing software's to this day. I couldn't work with it, I felt like I was limited to the options that was provided. I couldn't do a whole lot of editing. I felt like I needed Sony Vegas, or at least After Effects back. Now the only problem is this, I will not be able to use those software's with this camcorder. But I do have another program that will work with it. When you buy this camcorder, be prepared to laugh at what you have to work with if you do not like the ArcSoft software. You will be working with..... *GASP* Dun dun duuuuuuunnnnununununn. Windows Movie Maker. As for Imovie, (for those mac users) I am not to sure yet. I will be once I get a hold of the software. But Windows Movie Maker is your best bet with this software. Of course not the old edition. It has to be Windows LIVE Movie Maker. Worst software, but better than ArcSoft.

Before we go into video quality, let me start off with the audio quality. If you do not have a noisy environment, meaning no loud noises in the backgrounds, no dogs running around, no family members complaining, then the mic on the camcorder will work perfectly for you. However, if you live in the household that I live in, then prepare to do repeats of the same video, over and over and over again. The best recommendation I can give you is this. Once you have time to record your video and you have noise in the background. Get on your laptop or desktop computer and record your voice while recording the video. You can hide your mic to the best of your ability. I have a clip on mic, so a lot of the hiding is how good I can snake the cord in my shirt. The on-board speakers on the camcorder suck. I am not going to lie. I had this thing plugged into the charger, one power outage and the speakers blew. Nothing happened to the microphone or anything else on the camcorder. Heck, the touch screen even worked like a charm still. Just the speakers on the camcorder itself was screwed up.

Now onto the important stuff. Video quality. First of all, I have to say the grainy texture you would get in a very low light area is still a problem. However in a very well natural lit room (Or outdoors) there is not a lot of grain to it. But seeing how I can only record at night without a lot of interruption, grainy texture is somewhat of a problem. Now if you where just using the camcorder for youtubing or heck, facebook videos. Then this camcorder is for you. But you need to make sure where you are recording at is well lit and at least in a good zone to do all of it in. However if you are trying to do a game review like AVGN, I would suggest into investing in a much better camcorder. There are expensive ones out there. Thats no lie. But trust me, this one is for the basics.

Some other notes to look at is the touch screen on the panel. Its smooth and somewhat responsive. There are times where I have a hard time getting it to react to my touch. But it doesn't happen as often as you would think. Hooking it up to your computer is easy. Either use a USB cord or just plug in the sandisk card to your computer or laptop. That's another thing I forgot to mention was the battery. The battery is rechargeable and does have good battery life. I could record up to 3 hours of footage with out a lot of problems. Do I ever use the full 3 hour footage? Hah, I wish. Overall, if you are a youtuber and know how to work with the file format, and can deal with editing with windows movie maker (Or IMovie) then this is a must buy.

Kodak C183 EasyShare Digital Camera

In this video I do a short overview of the Kodak EasyShare digital camera. I also include some photos at the end. Now, is this something that would be used for professional digital photography? I wouldn't recommend it, but it could work.

You can buy a newer model of the Kodak EasyShare camera for much less than what I paid for it. You can find this magnificent camera on Amazon, eBay, Walmart, and many more retail stores. Enjoy the video.

Siri for the iPhone 4S Demo & Review

This is a video demonstration of the Siri app that comes stock on the iPhone 4S. Siri is a personal assistant that's geared towards helping the users experience with your iPhone a more productive one. In this video, I demonstrate a few of the key features that are currently available for Siri. The "Reminders" app, which was recently introduced with the release of iOS5, has seamless integration with Siri. The ability to use Reminders with Siri creates a simpler means of scheduling and reminding the user to perform certain tasks throughout the day.

Siri also provides the ability to send a text message (via voice) to a person, which would come in handy if texting while driving. The intellect of Siri allows it to realize your location and serve up answers to your questions such as "What gift should I get my mother for her birthday?" (As I ask in the video). The Siri application will find your current location and bring up a list of gift shops. But what would artificial intelligence be without a hint of sarcasm? ..I've asked Siri a series of quI hope you enjoy this video, thanks for watching.
