Apple's WWDC Event 2010: My Predictions

It's that time of the year again: WWDC 2010, where Apple will unveil their new hardware, software, product price drops, etc. WWDC is basically an early Christmas for Apple fanboys, as well as anyone out there that enjoys Apple products. Over the past few months there have been countless rumors and predictions on what people believe Apple will unveil at this keynote. The WWDC event will be held from June 7th - June 11th.

In this video, I provide my predictions on what I believe Apple will release at this event, as well as what I believe they will not release.

Apple Special Media Event: Last and Final Predictions

Here I have my final predictions for Apple's Special Media Event, tomorrow Wednesday January 27, 2009. It will be at the Yerba Beuna Center For Arts in San Fransico, California at 10 A.M. PST/ 1 P.M. EST. The event is to be based around the much rumored and highly anticipated Apple Tablet. Apple will also be announcing the iPhone OS 4.0 Beta, iWork and iLife 2010, Refreshed Mackbook Pros, as well as a few other things. I believe that the MacBook Air will get a much needed update, in fact a new model. Some news to the iTunes Store, that will be announced will be lowered prices on TV Shows as well as the addition of eBooks for the Tablet. eBooks will be around $10 to $15 for hardcover bestsellers. I think of course that they will announce the tablet and much more of their creations! It should be a wonderful keynote, and I am saddened that I will be at school during the show! Though websites like Gizmodo, Engadget, TUAW and many other large tech sites will be following the keynote and giving live updates. So until tomorrow, we can only hope!
One more thing... The one more thing that Steve Jobs will announce is the iPod Touch 3G with camera.

New Build of Snow Leopard, 10A394, Includes features shown at WWDC 2009 Demo

A new built of Mac OS X Snow Leopard was seeded to the very unhappy developers who received the WWDC 2009 build, which did not include the features shown in the keynote, however, the new version has been rumored to include all of the features shown at the keynote (However this is unconfirmed), including the beloved Dock Expose feature.191119-snow_leopard_dock_expose_500The Dock Expose feature is being dubbed as a rip from Windows 7, ironic, because Apple has always poked fun at the Windows camp for stealing features from Mac OS X, but it seems to be the opposite this time. In Windows 7, if you have multiple windows of a program running, you put the mouse over the application group in the taskbar and the windows of that program will fan out to show you their content, much like Mac OS X Snow Leopard’s feature. The Apple camp has dismissed the idea of Apple copying this Windows 7 feature191247-snow_leopard_10a394 because it would take “far too long” for Apple to recreate that feature in the amount of time between the Windows 7 release and the Snow Leopard demo at the WWDC 2009 keynote.

Is Steve Jobs Already Back At Apple and Was He Also Behind WWDC 2009?

What Happened?

Rumors have been floating around that Steve Jobs is already back at Apple doing behind the scenes work, some even note that he was floating around at WWDC 2009.steve_jobsoldschool

though there is a rumor that someone has spotted Steve Jobs wandering around. Sure guys, sure.

- Engadget WWDC Keynote 2009 Live

Why Is This Happening?

Perhaps it is just the hype of Steve Jobs being back and being behind the magic of this year’s WWDC Keynote or perhaps it’s just for the hell of it. I would guess the first one though. It seems SO unlikely, SO UNLIKELY, that at an event so large and big as WWDC, that Steve Jobs would be absent, SURELY he must have had something to do with it.

What Do I Think About It?

Oh common guys, like I said above, Steve Jobs must have had something to do with this year’s WWDC,steve-jobs-iphoneI mean obviously he wasn’t there, someone would have spotted him and tackled him or something, got a picture maybe. Since they didn’t, I really doubt that he was there, but I still believe he had something to do with it.

Regardless, It really doesn’t matter to be all that much though, Apple seems to be doing fine righ
