On January 27, 2010, Apple released the iPad. But could it be possible that Apple is just getting started, and is preparing to release a Mac version of the tablet?

Mentioning my previous article, The Future of Computing, I discussed the possibility of a fully touch-based OS for a fully-fledged computer; not a mobile device. Well it makes perfect sense to put a touchscreen onto a type of device that runs a touch OS.

if apple wanted to release something like that. they wouldnt give us a sample and release what we have now.

You are not seeing the big picture. The iPad isn't a "sample."
It's not going to replace the iPad. It will be sold along side it. The iPad, however, is the catalyst to bring the MacPad into existence. The MacPad will herald the future of computing. Apple likes to refine things, too, before releasing them. They're probably not nearly done with the MacPad, or whatever it'll be called. This is simple reasoning.
