Chrome Apps Episode 3: Bejeweled

Everyone likes some kind of puzzle game. It may not seem like it at first but there is a wide variety of the kind of puzzle game that allows for people to have their own kind of enjoyment out of it. Personally I love puzzle games because they can be addictive and a time killer, but then again that’s the point of puzzle games to kill time and to give your brain an exercise. Today we are going to be looking into a game called bejeweled. This is a fun puzzle game created by pop cap games. But don’t worry the reason it’s free is not because of piracy, oh no. It’s free because it’s the chrome apps version of the game.

The point of the game is to align three pieces in a row to clear out a set piece of pieces. If you clear them out in a row of four or five you get a special weapons. You get a bomb which destroys a square portion of the pieces or a cube which destroys a certain piece all around the board. These tools can both be helpful and harmful seeing as you can loose the game more likely due to running out of moves. But on the flip side these items can be really helpful because they can rack your score up like crazy.

Your main goal of the game is to fill the gauge at the bottom of the screen to proceed to the next level. This gives the game a repetitive feel to it, however the game does have some good music which takes your mind off of the repetition. You also have a speed mode which is to see how fast you can actually complete the game but trying to play that on a laptop like I was is kind of a pain. But if you like a fun challenge or some interesting puzzle games try this game out for a try.

Thanks for watching/reading chrome apps.
