Mac Mini Update?

Let me take you back to the year 2005, when Apple introduced the Mac Mini dubbing it "the most affordable mac" The Mac Mini is a great mac, however it has not been updated since it was introduced in 2005. As you know Apple is constantly updating their products whether it is their iPods or their Macs. My birthday is approaching soon and one of the things I put on my wish-list is a Mac Mini because I don't do very intense things on a computer, so a Mac Mini is perfect for me. According to MacRumors, they predict a Mac Mini update in March, so I am hoping it happens right at the beginning because my birthday is in the first week of March. If the Mini is updated, I believe Apple is going to use their new aluminum unibody design currently shipping with their new MacBook's and Macbook Pro's. Quad-Core iMac

For the past year or so, Apple's been fitting both the 20" and 24" iMacs with Intel's' Core 2 Duo processor line. So here we are, 2009, and it seems as though Apple's been lagging behind the rest of the pack. For a little under $700, you can fit a brand new PC with a quad core. Not only is it cheaper, but it's more powerful.  It's obvious that Apple's best-selling desktop computer is overdue for serious upgrades.

Recently, a MacRumors informant, Shaw Wu, has notified the site that a number of sources are giving hints toward a Quad-Core iMac to start shipping this year. So is this a big turning point for Apple? Prior to these rumors, Apple has never equipped the iMac series with quad-core CPUs; only the Mac Pro has had the option for these high-end processors.

From what I've seen, I think it's safe to say that Apple will continue to ship the 20" iMac with Intel Core 2 Duo CPUs, but will ship the 24" iMacs with Intel Quad-Core CPUs (perhaps something like the Q6600). Not only will this fire mortars back at the "Macs are slow" crowd, but it will also give power-users an opportunity to have a powerful system at a reasonable pricetag.

Although I'm not quite holding my breath on quad-core iMacs, it's definitely a possibility. As for now, I'm sticking to my Mac Pro. :-)

A Built In Speaker in the iPod Touch 1g.

Yes there is a built in speaker in the iPod Touch 1g. Yes first generation. However there is a compatibility issue in which the speaker only works when typing and few other things that dont include apps. Don't believe me? Well then follow these steps and you will see there is a built in speaker:

1. Go to settings

2. Go into general

3. Then into sounds

4. Then into sound effects

5. Chose speaker and then preceded to type anything on any application (i.e mail)
