Asking Siri Questions

I love asking Siri a question and getting a witty remark as my answer. I thought it would be a good idea to test and see how many questions I could ask her and get fun responses for. I compiled a list of these comments and questions and the result is this video. Siri is really smart when it comes to facts and statistics because she is based upon Wolfram Alpha, but when it comes to being social and friendly, I think they could work on making that part a little more fun.

iCarbons iPhone 4S - Black Carbon Fiber Review

In today's article we are going to be taking a look at the Black Carbon Fiber skin for the iPhone 4S by iCarbons. Before the review starts, I would like to give a huge thanks to iCarbons.com for sending me this product out for review.

After using the phone with the skin installed for a whole week it's time to give you my honest review on this product.

The "iCarbons iPhone 4S - Black Carbon Fiber" skin, is one of the best review units I’ve ever got. The product has many more advantages than its disadvantages.

Let's start the review with what you will find in the box. In the box you'll find all the parts of the skin. One for the front, one for the back, one for the metallic antennas and two stickers for the Apple logo in the back and it’s twig (white & red).

Installation process was very easy. All you have to do is carefully place the skin on the device around the imports, speakers, cameras and buttons. If you fail installing, you can take it off and re-install it. The skin will be fine and  you will not face any issues. First install the front part, then the back part, after the antennas part and in the end, install the part for the Apple logo and the twig that is above it. To learn exactly how to install it please watch iCarbon's installation tutorial here.

The skin has perfect cut-outs for the lock button, the USB import, the 3.5mm headset import, the camera and flash, the front facing camera, light indicator, speakers, volume control and for the profile switcher button.

The skin makes the iPhone even more amazing with its beautiful 3D pattern. With the skin installed, the phone feels very solid and nice in the hand and you'll not face any problems using your device for many hours. If you already have a screen protector installed, you'll be still able to place the skin on it without any major problems. However, the iPhone will be a lot thicker and you'll not be able to install any cases on it.

After the advantages of the product, let's check out also its cons. I use my iPhone daily for many hours and with the skin installed I found out that the device is overheating. When I was using the phone without the skin for the same period of time it didn't overheat at all. So if you use your iPhone a lot that's a big con. Also, as all the skins, you'll not be able to fit your iPhone in any hard cases with the skin installed. You'll be able to use only some silicon ones. The last con is its price. It retails for 24.95$ on iCarbon's website. Although the product is great I think the company should lower the price because some reviewers or consumer will characterize this product as overpriced.

Overall iCarbons did a great job creating a high quality product that will make your phone even more beautiful, it will prevent it from minor scratches and it will make it feel better in the hand. I chose the black colour because my iPhone 4S is white and the reflection of white and black is amazing. The product is also available in white and red.

My rating for this product is 4.5/5.

If you are interested in purchasing the product, you can buy it from iCarbon's website for 24.95$ with free shipping: Product

Tips on How to Free Up Storage on your iOS Devices

Have you ever noticed that your iOS device storage space is filling up fast? Well if you do below will be several tips on how to free up some space.

1. Remove Apps - If you download an app that you used once or twice and believe you may never use them again, then just delete them and that can save you from anywhere 1 MB to all the way up to 1.5 GB.

2. Remove all unwanted music. If you are on a shared computer and many different people in your house have different music on the one computer and you only listen to 1 GB out of 6GB on your computer, then make a playlist for yourself and within your iTunes iOS device setting when you plug it into your computer, select Music at the top bar and uncheck all music and check selected playlists and then select the playlist you just made for yourself.

3. Removed watched movies/videos. If you're a big traveler and have many movies on your iOS device, remove the ones you already watched or unwanted on your iOS device anymore. If you still want to have many movies/videos on your iOS device, you can have them on an external WiFi mobile hard drive that can hold all your movie/video files on it. Here is one that I suggest you look at: http://is.gd/zkk5kO.

4. Empty out your Photos/Camera Roll. If you have a sibling or child that takes pictures that are unwanted, just delete them. Also, don't sync your whole photo libary to your phone; only sync wanted pictures.

If you just do some of those steps listed above, you can easily clear up many MB or even many GB of space on your iOS device.

My iPhone 5 Predictions

About 5 or 6 months before every iPhone release, there is always a ton of iPhone rumors and leaks going around, most of which are bogus. But just because most of them are bogus, doesn't mean we can't have a bit of fun, right? In this article I'll share what upgrades I think will be put on the next generation iPhone coming later this year.

#1. 4G LTE

I think it is incredibly obvious that the next iPhone will include 4G LTE compatibilities considering the 3rd generation iPad has 4G LTE capabilities built in. I'm not even going to explain myself on this one, it's just too obvious, but then again you never know with Apple. One thing is for sure though, the battery is definitely going to need to be upgraded.

#2. Upgraded Processor

I also think it is quite obvious that the processor in the next generation iPhone will be updated. However I still can't decide whether I think the next iPhone processor will be the Apple A5X or a new A6 processor. Oh the possibilities...

#3. Bigger Screen

I really hope there is a bigger screen coming to the iPhone. It would improve the experience so much! Sadly, I don't know if Apple is up to the hassle of rebuilding all of there apps and iOS, as well as getting all of the developers to redevelop their apps.

#4. Better Battery

The iPhone needs a new battery. Period.

#5. A Redesign

If Apple follows their usual upgrade pattern, the next iPhone should look different. I usually predict the redesign closer tot he estimated announce date, but all I can say is, curvy edge unibody design.

Well ,that's it for this article. I hope you enjoyed it! Please leave a comment of drop me a line on YouTube or Tweet me on Twitter to tell me how I did.

iMac or MacBook Pro?

Many Apple consumers, including me, when they decide to purchase a Mac computer, they can't decide between the iMac and the MacBook Pro. Speaking more generally, this topic is about "Desktop Vs Laptop". Which one is the best for you? Read the article to find out.

First of all let's see who should buy the iMac. If you are a professional graphic designer or video editor (and even if you aren't professional, but it's your job or something else in a high level), the iMac's beautiful huge screen with the amazing resolution, will be perfect for you. If you want to use your computer like a TV, for watching Netflix, or as an external monitor for your gaming console, or for gaming on your Mac again the iMac is your gadget. And finally, if you don't use and need that much your computer while traveling (or even if you don't travel that much), the iMac is your computer.

Now let's take a look who should buy a MacBook. I would suggest the MacBook if you do a lot of traveling and you really need and use your computer. It's a portable and a really powerful computer. If you still do graphic designing and video editing but you do it like a hobby and not as your main job, I think MacBook's display is good enough.

Now it comes another question. What if the user wants portability and a big display for home in the same time? In my opinion, you should buy the 13” MacBook Pro, and for external monitor the fantastic 27", Apple's Thunderbolt Display. If you can't afford buying Apple's Thunderbolt display, you can still find really good 24” monitors (I suggest you Asus) at Amazon for around 250$-500$.

I am currently asking this question to myself too and can't decide. I am in both, the first and the third occasion. Firstly I want to see the new 2012 iMacs and MacBook Pros which will be coming soon, and then, depending on the new features that those two computers will have, this will help me to choose.

I hope this article helped you out to understand in which occasion you are and which Mac is better for you (compared to those two). Thanks so much for reading, if you have any questions feel free to leave them in the comment section below or mention me on Twitter @OrestGPap.
