How-to: Get iOS 6 Beta 1 Now For Only 6$!

Today i will be showing you an easy and legal way to get iOS 6 Beta 1 for only 6$.

1.) First of all find your devices UDID.

How to find your UDiD

a. Connect your iPhone to your computer, open iTunes and under "DEVICES" on your iPhone.

b. Select the Summary tab and click on the word "Serial". This will replace the serial number with the UDiD.

c. Hold your mouse button on the UDiD number and press Control-C (windows) or Command-C (mac) to copy UDiD. Paste with Control-V (windows) or Command-V (mac) into the cart page.

2.) Visit AppleDevReg's website, send your UDID and pay the 6$ amount. After that wait about 10 to 15 minutes your device to be registered.

3.) After the second step download iOS 6 Beta for your device (free download): iPhone 4 GSM, iPhone 4 CDMA, iPhone 4S (All versions), iPhone 3GS (All versions), iPod touch 4G (All versions), iPad 2 Wi-Fi (Rev A), iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iPad 2 3G (CDMA), iPad 2 3G (GSM), iPad 3 (All versions).

4.) Update your device. WARNING: Don't update your device until you've registered your UDID.

a. Select your iPhone from the left panel and back up your device.
b. Then use the "Restore" option and not "Update".
         For Mac: Hold down the "Alt/Option" key on a Mac and hit "Restore".
         For Windows: Hold down the "Shift" key on a PC and hit "Restore".
c. Select the .ipsw file you downloaded originally.
d. The update should then progress.
e. When prompted after the update, select your most recent backup to get all your apps and contacts back.

Tips on How to Free Up Storage on your iOS Devices

Have you ever noticed that your iOS device storage space is filling up fast? Well if you do below will be several tips on how to free up some space.

1. Remove Apps - If you download an app that you used once or twice and believe you may never use them again, then just delete them and that can save you from anywhere 1 MB to all the way up to 1.5 GB.

2. Remove all unwanted music. If you are on a shared computer and many different people in your house have different music on the one computer and you only listen to 1 GB out of 6GB on your computer, then make a playlist for yourself and within your iTunes iOS device setting when you plug it into your computer, select Music at the top bar and uncheck all music and check selected playlists and then select the playlist you just made for yourself.

3. Removed watched movies/videos. If you're a big traveler and have many movies on your iOS device, remove the ones you already watched or unwanted on your iOS device anymore. If you still want to have many movies/videos on your iOS device, you can have them on an external WiFi mobile hard drive that can hold all your movie/video files on it. 4. Empty out your Photos/Camera Roll. If you have a sibling or child that takes pictures that are unwanted, just delete them. Also, don't sync your whole photo libary to your phone; only sync wanted pictures.

If you just do some of those steps listed above, you can easily clear up many MB or even many GB of space on your iOS device.

Have Tablets Replaced Laptops?

Many people wonder, mostly including the "average customers', is if tablets have replaced laptops. Read the article to find out.

My answer once again is that it depends. It depends on "Why you use your laptop". If you use your computer for heavy graphic designing, heavy video editing with special effects, professional photo editing or even hardcore gaming (video games like Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3, Gears of War 3 etc.) the answer is definitely not. Tablet technology is pretty new and not that much sophisticated to just to those standards. If this is your occasion, I surely recommend buying a laptop. If you use your computer just for checking your e-mail, for light photo and video editing, and playing or using applications mainly as "time-killers", or using it as an Internet source while traveling, well a tablet must be your first choice. Tablets are smaller, thinner, and lighter, with beautiful displays up to 10", high quality cameras, 4G LTE support, and of course, they are way cheaper. Also for most of the tablets in the market, the user can purchase a Bluetooth keyboard which can plug into his/her device, and have a small netbook. That also means that the user can use his/her tablet by using either the touch screen or the keyboard & mouse (or even both, in the same time). If this is your occasion, a tablet is the best solution. Also iOS and Android (especially Android), are really advanced mobile operating systems which in this occasion, can definitely replace a desktop OS. Another advantage is that, all the mobile platforms have application stores, which the user can download, games, editing application and thousands other useful apps for his/her everyday life. Also some tablets have quad-core processors and quad-core graphics which definitely make them as powerful as some really expensive laptops.

The two tablets I suggest you buying in case you belong to the second occasion are:

1.) The New iPad (iOS 5)

2.) Asus Transformer Prime (Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich) 

Both of them have excellent specks, 4G support, quad-core processors and graphics, and ship with the two most advanced mobile platforms in the world.

Tablets, compared to laptops, are new technology, which started back in 2010 with the release of the first generation iPad (the very first tablet made by Apple). In conclusion I believe, that "tablet technology” has a lot more to bring to the user, it will become a lot more advanced the next two years and I think that, by 2016, tablets will replace computers.

Is the "New iPad" Worth Buying?

It's been almost a month since the third generation iPad has been released and a question I get a lot is "Orestis, is the "New iPad" worth buying?". To find out read the article.

First of all let me give you a quick speck review of the new iPad. 

Processor: Apple's dual-core A5 chip clocked at 1.2 GHz

Graphics: Apple's brand new, quad-core A5X chip

Display: 9.5" with the fantastic resolution of 2048-by-1536 and Retina Display

Front facing camera: VGA camera (0.3 Mpix) , shooting low quality video at 240p

Back facing camera: All brand new iSight 5Mpix camera, with the same optics of the iPhone 4S's camera, which also records 1080p (FULL HD) video

Connectivity: WiFi, and the first Apple device which supports 4G LTE

Battery life: 10 hours normal use, 9 hours 4G LTE

Design: Same with the iPad 2's, but a bit thicker

Capacity: 16GB, 32GB, 64GB

Software: iOS 5

After the short spec review of Apple's new masterpiece, my answer to the question is, it depends. I’ll explain you now what I mean.

Let's start first of all with the whole "upgrade" thing.

If you are an iPad first generation user and you really use your tablet, then this is the upgrade for you. Whole new design, a lot better performance, Retina Display, cameras and overall the new iPad is way better than the first generation iPad. Of course this is very logical since the iPad one is a 2010 tablet, and the new iPad is a 2012 tablet.

If you are an iPad 2 user, there isn't a really huge reason to upgrade, I am just going to be honest with you. The iPad 2's performance is the same with the new ones, except in graphics, it does also have two cameras (although both are bad quality) and same screen size. The two new outstanding features on the new iPad, that the iPad 2 doesn't have are, the Retina Display and the 4G support (which if you are not a citizen of the U.S. and Canada, is useless because only 3G is supported to the rest of the world). For only those two features, i wouldn't recommend upgrading, cause don't forget iPad's price starts from 499$ up to 829$. That's a lot of money, especially with the economic crisis nowadays.

Now if you are looking to buy your first tablet, i wouldn't recommend the new iPad although I am an Apple fan. There are many Android tablets which cost less, and bring more to the user. An example is the Asus Transformer Prime, which when it's plugged in, in a keyboard dock it can easily be used as a laptop. Also many new other Android tablet will be launched the next two months will be way better than the iPad 3 and of course cheaper. The con with Android tablets is the operating system. If you are not into technology, and if you haven't a lot of experience you'll face problems using Android because it's a difficult to get used to platform. On the other hand Apple's iOS is the perfect and most family friendly OS compared to the others. It's really easy to use and it's the best mobile operating system in the world.

In case you are wondering if I upgraded, the answer is of course no. I am an iPad first generation (16Gb 3G model) user, and trust me it gets the job done for me. It's fast (generally speaking not compared to the new iPad), the screen size is the same, it runs the latest version of iOS, graphics are really good, it's the 3G model which I really use especially in holidays (4G LTE is useless for me because I leave in Europe which is not supported), and generally it's an excellent device. Also I have to say that, honestly, I don't care if it doesn't have any cameras, because first of all it's a tablet, cameras on a tablet it's not an important reason to buy it and it's not comfortable at all to use it for filming or taking pictures. The last and second reason is that, in my occasion, I own an iPhone 4S which has as main feature its amazing camera that any other Apple device have.
