Motorola Droid: Brief Insight

Apparently Verizon has been working under the radar with Google in producing a new Android phone. A month before its release, Verizon has begun advertising for the new Motorola Droid device. In Verizon's new Droid commercial, its safe to say that Verizon has taken the gloves off in the fight against Apple's iPhone 3GS (it sure wouldn't be the first time). In this new video I provide you guys with my little known insight thanks to BGR with the bit of information that he released about the Droid. The Droid definitely seems to be the best Android phone to date. This new Android device most certainly sets the bar for future Android headsets.

T-Mobile G1: DOA?

Are you one of the lucky people to own the coveted T-Mobile G1? Unfortunately for you, there has been some breaking news compliments of Android's software engineer Dave Sparks. According to his Twitter, Dave Sparks announced there might not be an update to the G1. What?! Yes, it's true. Apparently HTC didn't give the G1 enough storage, so an update is physically impossible for the phone.  HTC, what were you thinking?  How can you compete in a market full of iPhones and Blackberries and never consider giving your device enough storage?  Were you so confident that you thought Google would never have to update the software?

I don't know about you, but I'm really let down by this news. In my opinion, Google was well on its way to global domination with Google Docs, Voice, and seemingly the G1, but this is a step in the wrong direction. I thought the G1 was a real contender to the iPhone, but how can a stale item compete with something that is constantly updating? Oh that's right, it can't. Google, HTC, and T-Mobile, I hope if the three of you choose to make another phone, you consider the future and give it a decent amount of storage.
