Opera Mini 5: Android App Review

Personally, as a year long Android user I have to say that I am particularly amazed at how great the Android OS has come along in this past year. Wednesday morning, the company that has created the somewhat popular Opera browser have released their beta version of their new Opera Mini Browser for the Android OS. It has been known for quite some time how the default internet browser on android devices are lacking in substance. It would seem that Opera has stepped up and proven that their Opera Mini 5 Beta browser is a contestant amongst the few popular browsers on the Android OS such as the Dolphin Browser. Here is a video of my review of the Opera Mini 5 Browser for Android, hope you enjoy!

Removing Google's Search Bar from Safari

The browser wars have become a rather hot topic in the Mac community as of late especially with Google's newly released Beta version of Chrome.  I've been using Chrome as my browser of choice for about 6 months now, and I just recently decided to give Safari a second chance.  One thing I loved in Chrome was the dual functionality of the address bar as an address bar and a search bar.  It makes for a clean interface, and I wanted to simulate this look on Safari.  I found that the Safari plugin Glims allows you to input keyword so your favorite search engines can be accessed through the address bar, removing the necessity of having Google's search bar in the browser.  After hours of searching, I'm proud to say I've found the solution to the seemingly permanent search bar.  All you need to do is download this and watch the video.

Enjoy!
