World's First Dual Screen Notebook

Most laptops and netbooks these days have only one screen. But gScreen begs to differ, with the world's first dual screened PC notebook. The computer will be able to run Windows 7, Vista or XP. It will come in the sizes of 13.3, 15, and 17 inch according to the website. It will be a normal notebook, but with two screens. gScreen's notebook weighs only 8.7 pounds and is similar to the Apple MacBook in size. Here below is a video on my thoughts and opinions on the computer:

Why Macs Get Less Viruses Than PCs

I have owned many PCs in the past and have fortunately not had any major viruses, but I have had viruses. I have used virus protection software like Norton, Mcafee, AVG and Windows Defender. Now, on my iMac running Mac OS Snow Leopard 10.6.1 I don’t have any virus protection software installed at this current time. It has been said that Macs do not get viruses, which of course isn’t true. Macs get viruses. PCs get viruses. So how do you back up the statement that Macs don’t get viruses? By saying this, Macs get viruses, but not as many as PCs. Yes, we can just say that and let it be set in stone, but there is a reason why Macs get less viruses than PCs. First off, PCs are 90% prone to viruses, because most hacks, viruses and whatnot are coded and developed only for Windows OS running computers. Secondly, viruses can get through even with some viruses blocking software. Macs have their own software to prevent viruses built-in to the firmware and OS. Windows is more easy to get viruses, because it is more likely to have a virus on the PC without the owner knowing. There isn’t a computer or OS that is “virus proof”, but Mac OS 10 is very hard to be hacked into. Windows is also able to be hacked and turned into a Mac via a process called “Hacint0sh”. On a Mac, there isn’t a need to hack Windows on it, because of Apple’s Bootcamp software and third party software like VMware Fusion and Parallels. This post in no way is targeted to be hate for PC or Mac or Linux. It is simply just my thoughts and opinions on why it is more likely to get a virus on a PC than a Mac. And if the Mac were more popular among business and schools as the main computer, they would be almost as prone to viruses. Thanks for reading.

iPhone Glitch

Ok guys, so as you may know the iPhone is one of the advanced technological products on the market and can pretty much do anything, even have a couple of glitches. This afternoon a guy on YouTube named Jon4lakers made it very clear that an iPhone glitch on the youtube application is evident. Here's what it is, go to the YouTube most viewed page on your iphone, then scroll down to the last video no most viewed today up at the top, and no matter how hard you try (for most of you) the last video from that section will not play. The one before that, and the one before that will play, just not that one. Now although this is a minor glitch, if you do want to watch the last video on most viewed today, your screwed.

A Hidden OS X Feature… For Word Nerds

I love finding those little hidden features within OS X that make using my already great Mac, an even nicer experience. That's why, when I found this feature by mistake… I had to share it with all of you.

I know a lot of you reading this do not know me personally, but if you did… you would learn rather quickly that I am a true word nerd. I love knowing the exact definition of words so I can use them later in their appropriate context. When I am browsing the web, I sometimes come across a word that I do not know, and because of this… my dictionary lives in my dock. But that may change, thanks to this nifty little keyboard shortcut.

Say you are reading a news article, and you aren't exactly sure what a certain word means. All you have to do is move your cursor over the word you want to look up, and press Command+Control+D. You will see a little contextual window pop up right in the browser with the full definition of the word.

I'm not sure how well known this is, but hopefully that helps some of you!

Cool Terminal Tricks For Mac

I love to use terminal on Mac OS Leopard, now Snow Leopard, to tweak and mess with my Mac, so I went around searching for different codes to use. I compiled a few cool and favorite codes and made a video showcasing them. All codes should work on Mac OS Tiger and above. Leave a comment on some of your favorite codes.
