Canon T3i Becomes Official

The Canon Rebel T2i was widely popular among that of consumerists showing up from camera bag to camera bag. Well the T2i successor, the Canon Rebel T3i is now official and it seems like Canon has gotten it right yet again. The camera carries almost all the sames features that the T2i had such as having the same sensor and video capabilities. But the price point is what really stands out bringing 60D ranged features inside of a $800 body.

The most notable addiction to the T3i is the devices 3-inch swivel out LCD display. This feature in itself makes a world of difference as I personally have known a bevy of people that originally purchased the Canon T2i, and sold the DSLR once the 60D was announced solely based on the cameras swivel display. Being a cinematographer and photographer myself I can tell you that awkward angles in many situations will lead to a better image, as long as you can actually view what you are capturing. Another feature added to the Canon T3i is the ability to digital zoom while shooting video. The T3i is the first Canon DSLR to bring digital zoom to the tablet, but personally I find this to be a feature that not many cinematographers find that handy, as digital zooming can hurt or in some cases damage the perspective of your video. But regardless the feature otherwise is nice to have in such situations where a little extension is just needed. As far as the photography aspect goes we see no improvement what so ever except for filter effects to add to your pictures (also found on 60D).

The overall package the T3i offers is rather humble. However it would not surprise me to see if the inter webs began going mad or criticizing the T3i, but in my opinion I recommend staying away. I will agree when people say that the T3i really only comes with one new feature and that its swivel LCD display, but in my opinion these writers don't necessarily understand that it is rare that we see an update come about to a DSLR within almost a year of its predecessor. If the T3i was announced in 2013 and featured theses updates yes I would be disappointed, but I don't find myself being disappointed right now. The T3i is really marketed towards those people that are purchasing a brand new DSLR or upgrading their beginner DSLR, and not for those that already own a T2i or a 60D. The T3i should be available in March and the DSLR will be available for purchase at the price of $800 with just a standard body, and $900 with a kit lens.

Amazon Kindle 3 Review

The Amazon Kindle 3 is one of the most stable ereaders on the market. This is Amazon's third attempt at perfecting the ereader, and I feel that they have done an impressive job. This is not to say that other ereaders aren't any good, I feel that ereaders as a whole are a really neat thing, I just feel that after using the Kindle 3 from Amazon, other ereaders will have to work hard at compeating.

There are many unique features about the Amazon Kindle 3, including it's many great tools that come included with the ereader itself, things that have become a standard for most ereaders. Such as, text-to-speech, changing the font and line spacing, samples, and just released today, book lending. Amazon announced today that Kindle users can now lend many of the books available in the kindle store, depending of course upon the publishers permission.

The kindle is overall a very great ereader that boast many features, and of course the Amazon Kindle Store is a very big plus for those of you who shop on Amazon.com to begin with. It connects to your Amazon account easily, and makes reading, purchasing, and lending books as simple as the push of a button.

iPhone OS 4 Beta Hands On & Preview

What's up guys? This is my preview of the iPhone OS 4 Developer Beta that was released a couple days ago on April 8th 2010 (Consumer release date is Summer 2010). There was a lot of new and cool features released with this new version of the iPhone software, and I am really excited to see where developers take some of the new API's they have been given.

Just a quick reminder, never - NEVER download the iPhone 4 Beta firmware from a torrent or third party site unless your are an Apple developer. If you update your iPhone to the new firmware and your device isn't registered for development with Apple, your iPhone will no longer work and your warranty doesn't cover it.

The Sims 3: Review.

Hello guys, I'm new to this social blog so hi, this is my first post. You can find me at other places like on my website or on my YouTube channel. You can also follow me on Twitter.

The Sims 3 is an amazing and exiting game, I preordered my copy a few weeks before at amazon.co.uk for just £29.39 and I got it on the 7th (I used FREE Super Saver delivery) which was just 2 days after release date which is pretty good.

I ripped open the packaging and got ready to install the game on my 20" iMac with 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 duo processor. (The game works for Windows & Mac) Installation took about 30 minutes, considering the game is a hefty 6GB I was pretty impressed.

I fired up the game, and was amazed by how fast the game loaded, its a BIG improvement in loading times to The Sims 2, its also really cool how you do not need to wait through long loading screens before you go to somebody's house or community lot.

The graphics with the game are impressive, although after a while I think the game feels quite the same (graphic wise) to The Sims 2, which is fine with me! Although the sims themselves look MUCH better now, there faces are so much smoother! Which brings me on to...

Create a Sim is EXCELLENT! Rather than choose between low, medium and high you can have anything in between that. Controls like this come into play with weight, skin tones, and muscles. I love that you can make Sims proper fat this time, which is really funny! I made a really fat sim, and when I was playing her in the game, I got her to loose all of her weight, and she is very skinny now!!

The amount of customization of the sims is great, you can change the basic of features, or you can dive right in and go PRO! You can change almost anything the nose, the width of the nose, the nostrils, the lips, the lip height and width, chins, foreheads EVERYTHING!

Needs are much easier to control now, in the sense that you don't always have to be getting your sims to do stuff, they can just manage themselves, although you can step in if you want to. Some gamers feel this is a let down, I feel its a much better, you can get on and explore more rather than worry about when they need a pee!

In the game settings you are allowed to change a bunch of controls including, aging; short, normal, long, or EPIC 960 sim days. You can also toggle the free will controls; off, low, medium, high.

I love how to controls of the game are pretty much the same, like they have always been but with a few tweaks. Its good because its what were used to, and I think the controls in all of The Sims games are really good!

An interesting feature of The Sims 3 is that when your sims work, or go to school you can choose how you would like them to perform, they could gossip with friends, work hard, slack of, or just make it business as usual.

What I really didn't like about the game is that a lot of the lots like work, and schools you cannot see inside, they just travel to the lot, and they go inside, and you won't see them until work is done.

I think the game still has a lot more to offer, as I haven't explored everything yet, as with all of The Sims games, the possibilities are pretty much ENDLESS! I rate this game a solid 9/10 and my sister, and all of my friends have good fun with it. I'm ADDICTED!
