Verizon iPhone 4 Unboxing

Three years in the making and it's finally come true. The Verizon iPhone, after an endless amount of rumors and speculations is a reality. On January 11, 2011, Verizon and Apple premiered the iPhone 4 and on February 8 and February 10, you were able to pre-order/purchase your iPhone 4. Today, I unbox for you the Verizon iPhone 4.

Why You Shouldn't Buy the Verizon iPhone 4

If you are a Verizon customer and want an iPhone, by now you probably already know that it’s going to be available on Verizon in early February. I know many of you are going to get it, but personally, I would wait until later this year. That’s because Apple has released a new version of the iPhone every year, so there most likely will be a new version this year, too. If you get the Verizon iPhone 4 now, you’ll be stuck with it because of the contract. Lastly, the next generation iPhone on Verizon may be 4G. Also, don’t switch from an AT&T iPhone to a Verizon iPhone because of the hotspot feature. There have been many reports that the hotspot feature will come with along the iOS 4.3 update. Lastly, the Verizon iPhone acts like any other CDMA phone, meaning you cannot use data and phone at the same time

Verizon Wireless 4G: Are You Ready?

Verizon Wireless is preparing to switch to its "4G" Long Term Evolution (LTE) network this coming weekend. Despite the small amount of coverage available at this time, it is officially being released to consumers December 5. The test market is going to be available in 38 different markets and 60 airports. Although there are no current Verizon phones that support the 4G coverage, they will offer a 4G USB stick to be able to surf the web with your PC (Mac OS not currently supported). Future 4G phones will be released in the coming months.

So what can you expect? 10 times the speed of the current 3G network. Customers are looking at download speeds around 10Mbps and upload speeds around 5Mbps. Verizon is reporting that their LTE network will feel as if you are using your home Wi-Fi connection. They are also reporting that the transition from 3G to 4G is fairly seamless. If your device fails to connect to the 4G network it will fall back to EVDO 3G. Unfortunately, the transition from 3G to 4G is not happening as fast as consumers would like. Never-the-less, 4G is coming to your area hopefully soon. Are you ready?

Droid 2 Unboxing

A couple days ago I picked up the Droid 2 and unboxed it on YouTube and so far I am completely satisfied with the product to fit my liking. At first glance the Droid looks sleek with a pop out keyboard, touch screen controls and a whole lot more.

To be honest, this is my first Android phone and I couldn't see myself using another operating system for quite some time, while I am on Verizon for the time being. Hopefully my Android experience keeps going strong and all the hype lives up to my expectations.

Apple iPhone Stock Photo Without AT&T Label. Can Someone Say Verizon iPhone?

As the photo above shows, Apple decided to not include an AT&T label on their stock photos of the iPhone. This applies to all iPhones on Apple.com. This makes people wonder... Why aren't they on there? Are they testing a CDMA or Verizon version of the iPhone? In addition to this Apple also stated that they have Verizon cell towers on their main campuses. You decide.
