Must They Take My Photos Without (Barely) Asking? Mobile Privacy Concerns

This article is more than just about whether or not mobile apps require me to automatically upload all or none of my pictures. However, I'm starting out with this because this is how they “get you.”

When it comes to preserving our personal data, it sickens me to think that phone apps would require such a thing. I want to be able to choose which photos to upload and which ones to leave on my phone, tablet, or other device.

I link this is what's going on in the world today. It's a total push for lack of privacy—which seems so contradictory to the push to fight against identity theft.

Chrome Apps: Episode 1 (YTVD)

While browsing through the Chrome Web Store I found the app “YouTube Video Deck”. It looked pretty interesting so I decided to take a closer look at it. I downloaded the app and started to mess with it. Through the screenshot that was provided at the app store, it was a column based design similar to tweet deck. I didn’t know if the app was for the content feed or just the videos. I will say this much, I was thoroughly impressed with the YouTube Video Deck. When you first install the application you are asked to log into your YouTube account. Once you do that you will be guided to add your subscriptions to a column so that you

iPad Mini or Nexus 7? Which one is right for You?

iPad Mini or Nexus 7? The answer to this question is slightly more complicated than it may seem. The answer is dependent on what you want and need in a 7-inch tablet. Both are very good 7-inch tablets in my opinion, and there are pluses and minuses to both of them. The first factor you need to consider, is pricing. How much are you willing to pay?

The iPad mini's pricing goes as follows:

16GB: $329 (WiFi only)

$459 (WiFi+cellular)

32GB: $429 (WiFi only)

$559 (WiFi+cellular)

64GB: $529 (WiFi only)

$659 (WiFi+cellular)

Review: Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 Lens - Test Images/Video

At a price point of around $100, the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 prime lens is on the radar of many new DSLR owners. I decided to get my hands on one six months ago and I haven't regretted it for a minute. Listen in on my thoughts paired with some test photos/video to help you decide if this lens is right for you!

As seen in the test footage, this lens performs beautifully in low light situations. This lens also gives your shots a very cinematic look with dramatic depth of field at the 1.8 aperture setting. I highly recommend this lens for any and all DSLR owners due to it's affordable price and impressive image quality. The plastic body is a sacrifice when mounted to a sturdy DSLR camera. You will never want to use your kit lens again! Except for vlogging, as mentioned in this video... ;)
