5 Exceptional Photoshop UI Kits

If you go to apple.com, you'll see all of their devices with beautiful displays featured all over the site.  You might guess that they have the phones and equipment to take these high-res pictures, but none of them are actually from real pictures.

In fact, no one is actually taking pictures of their apps on iphones, ipads, or any other device.  They're using UI kits and dropping in the images they want displayed  pristinely on the screen.  The good news is that you can access these graphics too and add beautiful images of your app or site displayed on any device just like the pros.

Here are 5 different UI kits that you can use create professional displays of your app/website:

1.  iPhone GUI Kit

The iPhone GUI PSD by teehan+lax is perfect.  It gives you all of the components you need and the images could not be sharper.

Great Value App!

From the creators of Flying Fun comes Geek Me, a new and feature packed face manipulation app!

Geek Me is a new take on the normal Fat Booth style of app which transforms the user into a geek. There are similar Geekify apps currently on the App Store, but Geek Me is packed with a heap of extra ways to customise and change your images. The FREE app allows you to add glasses, braces and acne to your face. A very cheap $0.99 payment unlocks ginger hair, more glasses to choose from and the ability to change the colour of your braces (as well as diabling those annoying ads).

"It's a simple app, but a great laugh! Very funny to transform your friends into geeks and show them later!"

Share your final images to Twitter or Facebook and celecrate your inner geek!

Flying Fun: My App Success Story

Have you ever considered making an app? Would you like to sell your app globally and make money from it 24/7? Did you know it's actually not that hard? I am now achieving success with my first app and I didn't have to write a single line of code.

Introducing: Flying Fun - a copter style endless flight game, with a twist! We expanded on the original helicopter flying game by adding powerups and coin collection to the game. Don't you hate it when you get real far in a game and then crash? With the use of our powerups, you can fly even further! And trust me, this game get addictive!

My brother and good friend began work on Flying Fun in Oct/Nov 2012. At the time we were all still third year students at university, studying full time and working part-time jobs. We're not programmers, so we outsourced development to Click Labs in Mumbai, India; the creators of successful apps such as Temple Run, Temple Run 2 and Agent Dash.

Since then, we have graduated university, we're working full time jobs and still managing the marketing of our first app and now the development of our second app. Are you starting to see a trend here? Developing apps doesn't require a full time commitement or massive budget. We just had the courage to give it a go.

I can't describe how cool it is to wake up in the morning, check your reports and see that your app has been downloaded thousands of times over night in countries all over the world.

We're now looking at getting Flying Fun ready for Android and we're launching our second app very soon.

I'd like to keep you updated on our progress and if you have any questions, please comment below. I've kept this post quite general so please feel free to ask about how we made the app etc.

I don't mean to promote to much, but please take a look at Flying Fun and let us know what you think. We'd love to hear your valuable feedback.

What to Expect from iOS7

Although nobody knows exactly what we can expect from iOS7, there are many features that people are expecting Apple to add to the operating system. Over the past few years iOS has improved a lot. It’s quite hard to believe that not so long ago there wasn’t a way to copy and paste text for example! You might think that iOS6 has just about everything that you could ever need, but here are some things that people are expecting from the next big update (which will more than likely be released in the summer of 2013):

Review of TuneIn Radio for iOS and Android

I like listening to music on both my iPad and iPhone. I also like listening to the radio. I don't have to worry about adding new songs to some playlist, the radio just continues to play music all day, and all night, the only breaks being commercials. The radio stations that I do like, have iPhone apps, but the issue with them is the audio quality is quite poor. One day I started to look for some music apps on the App Store, and I came across TuneIn Radio. After a few minutes of using it, I loved it.

What is TuneIn Radio?

TuneIn Radio allows you to listen to radio stations of many different genres, from all around the world. No matter what your tastes in music may be, chances are this app has the station for you. According to its description in iTunes: "TuneIn offers over 70,000 stations and 2 million on demand programs for you to choose from." In other words, you have a lot of choice when it comes to music.

Features:

  • Pause and rewind the station your listening to.
  • Add your favorite stations to your presets.
  • Shake your iPhone to hear new stations based on what you like.
  • Share a station, song, or show on Facebook or Twitter.
  • Alarm clock.
  • Play music in the background.
  • Play music over Airplay.
