Why does my computer automatically turn itself off?  It does that all of the time and I don’t know why?  How can I make it stop spontaneously rebooting?  If you computer likes to shut down or reboot without your permission, it is most likely caused by a hardware issue.

Here are a few things you can check to find the cause of the problem.  First, are the computer cables attached tightly?  Sometimes the cords will be loose and the computer will shut down.  If the cords are attached properly, you should try checking the fan.  Is it dusty and covered with grime?  If so, the spontaneous restarting could be caused by your computer overheating.

Double Review: Update Detector & Wise Data Recovery

While I was working on the review for Google Drive a friend of mine came up to me and told me about a site known as Filepuma. Interested I decided to go onto the site and see what they had to offer. Image couresy of DoodleADayDual booting Windows and Linux isn't as much trouble as you would imagine. In fact it's a piece of cake.

I've been a dual Windows/Linux user for as long as I can remember. I prefer the flexibility of Linux but I still need to use Windows because it's 'the norm'. Everyone else has Windows so I need to have it as well. But it's more than just that - it's also that a lot of great software is Windows only software.

With Linux you get free and open source at the heart of things. Almost everything is changeable to how you like it, it's modified and improved by thousands of people and in a very organic 'let's make it better for everyone' kind of way.
