Incase Neoprene Sleeve Review (13" MacBook Pro)

In today's society it seems as though taking a computing device everywhere is necessary. We now have laptops and tablets we carry with us. Investments do need to be protected, so that is where the Incase Neoprene Sleeve comes into play.

This product retails for around $39.95 at the Apple store. This product is just a sleeve; it's not a case. I consider a case to hold many products, not just your laptop. But I love the simplicity of the product. It'd be so easy to get through security in an airport with this sleeve. However, the product doesn't include a handle, which can make carrying the sleeve with your laptop in it.

Find out my full opinion on this product. I encourage you to watch the video above. The one I show in the video is the black color, but the product is available in a variety of colors. Click here to purchase the Incase Neoprene Sleeve.

The 2011 MacBook Pro's

Today, I went to PC World intending to take a look at the new iPad 2's and the 2011 MacBook Pro's and compare the speed to the speed of the previous generation. As I walked in, I was imediately greeted with MacBook Pro's.

Speed

Luckily enough, there were two 13-inch MacBook Pro's on display - one was the new 2011 model with FaceTime HD camera and ThunderBolt, and the other was the previous, 2010 model.

I closed all running applications on both MacBook Pro's, and loaded up Safari on both at precisely the same time. Both loaded up instantly. Infact, it wasn't until loading roughly four applications that the 2011 MacBook Pro started to shine.

Camera

The new 2011 MacBook Pro boasts a FaceTime HD camera. Unfortunately, neither laptops had internet access so I couldnt exactly test out FaceTime, but you can see a difference in quality when snapping some pictures in PhotoBooth.

I will definately be buying the new 2011 MacBook Pro soon.

Review: Blue Snowball Microphone

In today's post I'm doing a quick review of the Blue Snowball Microphone. It's priced at $99 but if you'd like a cheaper way to go, go with Amazon. The Blue Snowball Microphone has a very unique form factor; a ball. It's actually pretty cool looking to me. It's also got a mount that helps keep it stable while use. The stand has three adjustable legs to create easy and hassle free transportation. Overall I'm very satisfied with my microphone. You can use it for podcasting, video blogging, music creation and more! Personally, I use it for my YouTube videos and my live webcasts on uStream.TV. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to take a look at my post.

Apple Device Combinations

Basic

MacBook Air 11”/13” | Mac Mini | MacBook Pro 13” | iMac 21”

iPhone

For the computer, all you need is the smallest model if you’re looking for a basic set up, but I would try to at least get the 13" model of the MacBook Air because the 11" model is not very powerful. Also, most people need a cell phone so why not get an iPhone.

Intermediate

MacBook Air 13” | MacBook Pro 13”/15” | iMac 21”/27”

iPhone

iPad

MacBook Air 13" will most likely work, but if you can afford it, go for the MacBook Pro and iMac. Also, paying more for a larger screen always pays off. Lastly, an iPhone is portable, but does not work well if you are trying to write a paper. That’s why I suggest you also get an iPad.

Professional

MacBook Pro 17” | iMac 27” | Mac Pro

MacBook Air 11” | iPad

iPhone

A top of the line MacBook Pro and iMac will work okay, but if you can afford it, go with a Mac Pro. Also, aMacBook Air 11” is a great second computer, especially if you have an iMac or Mac Pro because they are not portable. If you can’t afford the MacBook Air, then I would get an iPad because it still has a lot of functionality and is portable. Lastly, if you need a phone, get an iPhone.

Elago M2 Mobile Stand

This is a quick review of the Elago M2 Mobile Stand. It is designed for the iPhone and iPod Touch. It is made out of aluminum so it is not only very strong, but it also matches the MacBook Pro and iMac. I think it's a great stand because you can use your iPhone in both portrait and landscape. Also, when you are using it, you still have complete access to all of your ports.
