How To Update Sound Drivers When You Hear No Music

If you can't hear music or you don't have sound when you play music, something's wrong. You probably even checked your speakers and have adjusted all your sound levels.

As long as all is connected right and you haven't turned on the mute button by mistake, it has to be some other issue. You may need to learn how to update sound drivers or get a new sound card drive.

If you want to find a solution to your no sound problem, try these steps:

  • Check for new Windows Updates. Without proper updating, your computer will not work right - especially if you browse the web quite a bit. Just go to your control panel and find out what available updates you can install. Select the ones you want to download and let your PC do the work.
  • Find a way to verify your sound card works. On Windows 7, search for “Device Manager” from your desktop and click on it. Then, click on “Sound, Video, and Game Controllers,” and select the name of the sound card installed on it (i.e. Conexant High Definition Audio) and look at the “general” tab. You want to find out if it says “this device is working properly.” If it does, great. If not, go to the next step.

How to Disable Sound From Web Pages as You Browse

MuteTab

Do you browse the Internet at work? Don't deny it, everyone does it, even when it isn't allowed. Site blockers are only so thorough, and most employees will have an easy way around them. Even if you don't do this, or if you work from home, we have all be assaulted by annoying flash videos or audio clips that start auto playing when you visit a site. Especially from advertisements that are trying to get your attention immediately.

These are so irritating, and it isn't always easy to find their source to stop them. Especially when you have a number of tabs open and have to start searching through every single one to find out what is playing. I know I have gotten frustrated trying to do the same, even when I have just been sitting at home and looking at sites for fun.

In a perfect digital world, these would be banned. Or they would at least all be manual starting content that the user could choose to view or ignore. But that is wishful thinking, and they are probably here to stay.

X-Mini Speaker

The X-Mini brand has been making a scene with DJ's and celebritys alike, but is it simply a hyped up product or truely an amazing little speaker with mind blowing sound. Well, it is truely an amazing speaker with mind blowing sound! I was very happily surprised with the quality of this little product. I compared them to my Phillips Apple Docking Station and Stereo system and it is right up there with it! One of these little speakers will rang you anywhere from $20-$30, but don't let the price detur you from buying one of these amazing quality speakers!

Sony MDRPQ4/BLK PIIQ Headphones Review

It's hard to determine in the vast earbud and headphone market today, which pairs have good sound quality and which pairs are just for looks. In fact I was surprised to learn that most earbuds and headphones sold anymore base their product on looks and lack in the sound category. With that said, I found a pair of earbuds that look good and sound good! They are very affordable and they come in a variety of cool modern designs, but the main selling point for me was the fact that they are PIIQ earbuds which are a brand of Sony. I have always loved the sound quality of Sony products, so I figured I would give them a try, even though I was a tad skeptical of the low price point, thinking that if they are under $20 then they couldn't have too great of a sound, but what I have found is that the sound is comparable to my Apple In-Ear Earbuds.

Unboxing: Zoom H1 Handy Recorder Microphone

The Canon PowerShot ELPH 300 HS has taken the tech community on YouTube by storm in the past few weeks with many major video makers buying the camera. But before there was the 300 HS, there was the Zoom H1 by Samson. I must admit that I have now jumped on the bandwagon in an attempt to try out this sub $100 microphone. The low price will be quite attractive for many and still deliver professional audio quality to any camera setup. Watch as I unbox the Zoom H1 and give a quick rundown of why I picked up this guy.

If you have any specific questions regarding this microphone or my camera setup in general, feel free to leave them in the comments.
