Sony Xperia Z Ultra Smartphone / Phablet Review

The Sony Xperia Z Ultra is one of the thinnest smartphones on the market today. Its dimensions are 179.4 x 92.2 x 6.5 mm. In order to keep its incredibly thin size from being susceptible to structural problems, it has an aluminum and glass case, which allows the phone to be firm and light at the same time.

The Smartphone / Phablet only weighs 212 grams, this is remarkable considering its relatively large size. In fact the phone is so large that it is difficult to use its interface with only one hand, and despite its thinness and weight, it remains somewhat cumbersome to hold.

Review: Joby GorillaPod

The Joby GorillaPod is certainly a great tripod if you don't mind the size. It is very sturdy, flexable and most of all, fun! This tripod isn't ment to be used for serious photography as it is very lightweight, but for taking the odd photo or video, this is a great little accessory. There are many colours available for the Joby GorillaPod, these include the following:

• White (as shown on video)
• Yellow
• Red
• Green
• Pink
• Blue 
• Orange

The advantages to this mini tripod is that you can wrap it round more or less everything with it's bendy legs. In the video shown above, I had the tripod wrapped around my monitor (Acer S243HL), lampshade and also my guitar! It is seriously amazing. I also like how cheap the GorillaPod is, on Amazon UK , you can buy this tripod for just £11.70! This is a bargain. The third thing I like about this tripod is the large variety of colours, they look great.

The disadvanteges to the Joby GorillaPod is that it is literally tiny! Also, when you bend the legs, it tends to nip your skin, which is very annoying! But other than that, I can't complain!

Over all, I give this tripod a 9 out of 10!

Sony MDRPQ4/BLK PIIQ Headphones Review

It's hard to determine in the vast earbud and headphone market today, which pairs have good sound quality and which pairs are just for looks. In fact I was surprised to learn that most earbuds and headphones sold anymore base their product on looks and lack in the sound category. With that said, I found a pair of earbuds that look good and sound good! They are very affordable and they come in a variety of cool modern designs, but the main selling point for me was the fact that they are PIIQ earbuds which are a brand of Sony. I have always loved the sound quality of Sony products, so I figured I would give them a try, even though I was a tad skeptical of the low price point, thinking that if they are under $20 then they couldn't have too great of a sound, but what I have found is that the sound is comparable to my Apple In-Ear Earbuds.
