Jailbreaking: 3 Great Tweaks

Today I've got a quick post about a few good tweaks for Cydia (when you jailbreak your iOS device, Cydia will install on the device) The first tweak is AndroidLockXT which lets you have the Android unlock screen where you draw a pattern, instead of the "slide to unlock" unlocking process. The next one is called Barrel, which let's you have different transitions when you swipe to go to you're next page of apps. I think the standard swipe is pretty stale, so this is an awesome tweak in my eyes. The last one is Infinidock, which let's you have more than the standard four applications in the dock. I think it's kind of useful. So, those three tweaks you can get in Cydia. Hope you found this helpful and will make iOS a better experience for you!

4-inch iPhone 5 Retina Display Screen?

Recent rumors suggest that the 5th generation iPhone will feature a 4-inch Retina Display screen. According to Apple's component suppliers:

The component suppliers noted that the production lines for Apple's next generation iPhone have begun testing, and Apple is interesting in expanding the screen size to 4-inches to support the tablet PC market as the vendor only has a 9.7-inch iPad in the market.

It's believed that this increase in screen realestate from the previous iPhone measuring at 3.5-inches, is due to the up-and-coming competition of various Android devices. Recently released Android devices are boasting much larger '4 to 7-inch' screen's. It can be assumed that Apple may be testing a beta iPhone 5 with this reported screen size, but will this beta see the light of day? In this video, I provide my opinion on the rumored iPhone 5 4-inch screen, feel free to give input on your opinion as well.

Review of iPhone 4: One Month Later

In just 2 days I'll have had my iPhone 4 from AT&T for exactly 1 month. Must I say, this is the best phone i've ever had in my life. It does everything I want, and more. Below is my review of the iPhone 4 after having it for 1 month.

First off, the iPhone 4 has some amazing features. One of it's key features is it's front FaceTime capable camera. It look amazing and it's one of the best features you could ever ask for on a mobile phone. The issue? You can only do it where there's WiFi, but in Apple's introduction of the iPhone they said that is only in 2010. Maybe we'll be able to Facetime on 3G sometime soon! The phone is extremely fast with it's A4 processor. It handle's multitasking extremely well. The AppStore has over 300,000 applications. The AppStore is really what makes the iPhone what it is. It's super thin, light, feels good in your hand, and it's just flat out amazing. The only issues I've had with it is that it's a MicroSIM, but that's understandable because they needed the space for it's size. Overall, I love this phone and I look forward to seeing what Apple has to offer on the next generation iPhone.

How to Get 1,000 Free Rollover Minutes on AT&T

In a last ditch attempt to hold subscibers, AT&T has been sending out text messages to customers offering 1,000 free rollover minutes. Even if you haven't received this message, there is still a way to get the bonus minutes. This little trick works even if you do not own an iPhone; all you have to do is be an AT&T subscriber.

iTunes Won't Back Up iPhone/iPod Touch

I recently noticed that my iPhone 4 was not being backed up. After a little while, I realized I wasn't the only one with this problem. To see if your device is being backed up and to fix the problem:

1. Open iTunes with your device connected.

2. Right click on your device- If you see Back Up on the list of options, you're fine. If you don't, then continue following these steps.

3. Quit iTunes.

4. Open Terminal and paste this: defaults write com.apple.iTunes DeviceBackupsDisabled -bool false

5. Restart your computer

As of right now, I don't have a fix for PCs. If you do have this problem and you're on a PC, first try reinstalling iTunes. If that doesn't work, try emailing or calling Apple support.
