What I Would Like to See Apple Introduce in 2012

2012 is said to be a "Big year" for technology, especially Apple. There are certainly lot's of rumors floating around the web. In this article, I am going to have my say on what I'd like to see Apple introduce this year (2012).

1. - Apple HDTV:

One of the biggest rumors of this year is that Apple is to announce an all new Apple HDTV. Some sources say that it will be exceptionally thin, come in at least 3 different sizes which I think will be 32", 46" and 55" displays. I also think that it will come with many feature's that the Apple TV box set has.

2. - iPad 3:

It is very likely Apple will introduce the much-hyped iPad 3 in the next 2 or so months ahead. There are rumors floating about, claiming that the iPad 3 will have an all new Retina Display, better cameras, A6 Processor and for the tablet to be both thinner and lighter.

3. - iPhone 5:

The world was expecting to see the iPhone 5 in 2011, but sadly that wasn't to be. So, surely there must be an iPhone 5 this year, right? Many sources claim that the iPhone 5 will have a larger 4.0" screen, which will be greatly welcomed. Others say the Apple A6 Processor will be packed into iPhone 5. People also say the iPhone 5 be significantly thinner and lighter. Fingers crossed we will see an all new redesigned Apple iPhone 5 this year.

4. - 15" MacBook Air:

To accompany the 11" and the 13" MacBook Air, sources say that Apple is at testing stage with a brand-new 15" MacBook Air, which is said to have an Ivy bridge Processor packed inside. Personally, I would like to see a higher resolution FaceTime HD Camera on the front as the current FaceTime Camera on the MacBook Air is horrible. I think the price for the 15" MacBook Air will be around the £1500 mark, but that is just a guess. I think if Apple were to introduce this machine into the Mac family, it would be one of their best selling products.

So, that's what I would like to see Apple introduce this year, what do you think Apple will introduce this year? Leave them in the comments section below.

One Million Copies of OS X Lion Purchased

Just under 48 hours ago, Apple released their new Operating System called OS X Lion.  With in that 48 hour time period, Apple announced that they sold more than 1 million copies of the amazing new Operating System.  This is crazy because they were all sold and downloaded with the Mac App Store.  What will happen when they release it to stores for the public because some users don't have the Mac App Store! A little quote from Apple's Marketing Chief Phil Schiller:

Lion is off to a great start, user reviews and industry reaction have been fantastic. Lion is a huge step forward, it’s not only packed with innovative features but it’s incredibly easy for users to update their Macs to the best OS we’ve ever made.

At 3.7GB per download, you would be crazy not to purchase OS X Lion.  The download size is fast, not to mention the great price point!  If you haven't downloaded OS X Lion yet, help Apple out and do so! Great job Apple!  Keep up the great work!

Will OS X Lion be released tomorrow?

During today’s Q3 earnings call, Apple CFO Peter Oppenheimer disclosed that OS X Lion will be released tomorrow in the Mac App Store. It caught a few people off guard because it was in his opening statement. Not many people would announce something that big in the opening statement.

OS X Lion "ready" applications begin appearing in the Mac App Store

Many of the rumors appear that today was going to be the launch of OS X Lion. Although many have been disappointed that nothing has been released, don’t lose hope just yet. It’s still Thursday and the day isn’t over. Although things don’t look likely, it’s still a possibility.

A big thing that has caught a bunch of Mac Users off guard is the face that Apple has begun to approve applications in the Mac App Store. Is this normal to include applications that won’t even run on an older operating system?

What do you think about this? Is this a sign that OS X Lion will be appearing VERY soon? Are you excited for the new release? Leave all your thoughts in the comment section.

A Must Have Mac App: Hazel

Hazel is a maid for your Mac! Hazel goes through your Mac to clean and organize.

Hazel, by Noodlesoft, is a simple, but oh so powerful, app that runs through System Preferences as a pane. Hazel is capable of organizing and cleaning anything you need. Hazel works completely in the background giving you complete ease of use with no need to worry. By setting rules for Hazel to follow, the app will act on files with your given commands. You can move files to new locations based on any certain characteristics you choose and so much more. With Hazel you can also maintain a clean trash bin on your Mac. The app will go through your Trash and clean it with your given presets. Some of the things you can do are adjust the time in which you want files to delete and even set your Trash to "Secure Empty". One amazing feature in Hazel is the App Sweep capability. Many applications charge money to just completely delete all remaining files of an app, but Hazel has it built in.

Overall, I cannot recommend Hazel enough. Hazel is one of the must have apps available for Mac OS X. I really suggest for you to give it a try on the Noodlesoft site for a 14-day free trial.

Here is my video demonstration of Hazel and all of the goodness!
